3.2. Transmitter (VDLive 10 TX)

3.3. Charging Case

4. Setup & Connection

4.1. Initial Setup & Pairing

  1. Fully charge the charging case, transmitters, and receiver before first use.
  2. Open the charging case. The devices will automatically power on and attempt to pair.
  3. If pairing does not occur automatically, press the "Pair" button on the charging case. The indicators on the devices will flash during pairing and become solid when connected.

4.2. Connecting to a Smartphone/Tablet (USB-C)

  1. Ensure the receiver is powered on.
  2. Directly plug the USB-C connector of the receiver into your smartphone or tablet's USB-C port.
  3. The device should automatically recognize the microphone system.
  4. Open your preferred video recording or live streaming application.

4.3. Connecting to a Camera (3.5mm Analog)

  1. Attach the cold shoe adapter to your camera's hot shoe mount.
  2. Slide the receiver onto the cold shoe adapter.
  3. Connect the 3.5mm TRS-TRS audio cable from the receiver's 3.5mm output jack to your camera's microphone input.
  4. Ensure your camera's audio input settings are configured to use the external microphone.

4.4. Connecting to a Computer (USB-A)

  1. Plug the USB-C to USB-A adapter into the receiver's USB-C connector.
  2. Plug the adapter into your computer's USB-A port.
  3. Select "Comica_VDLive10" as the input and output audio device in your computer's sound settings or conferencing software (e.g., Zoom, Skype).

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Transmitter Mode Selection (Simplex/Duplex)

  • Use the S/D switch on the side of the transmitter to select the desired mode:
    • S (Simplex): One-way audio transmission from the transmitter to the receiver. Ideal for standard recording.
    • D (Duplex): Two-way audio transmission, allowing the user to monitor audio from the receiver (e.g., device audio) through headphones connected to the transmitter's 3.5mm jack.

5.2. Receiver Output Mode (Mono/Stereo)

  • On the receiver, use the M/S button to switch between Mono and Stereo output:
    • Mono: Combines audio from both transmitters into a single channel.
    • Stereo: Separates audio from each transmitter into left and right channels, allowing for individual post-production control.

5.3. Volume Adjustment & Mute

  • On each transmitter, press the "VOL/MUTE" button to cycle through 4 volume gain levels.
  • Press and hold the "VOL/MUTE" button to mute or unmute the specific transmitter. The receiver's display will indicate the mute status.

6. Charging

  • Charging Devices: Place the transmitters and receiver into the charging case. They will automatically begin charging.
  • Charging Case: Connect the USB-C charging cable to the charging case's USB-C port and a power source. The power indicator LEDs on the case will show the charging status.
  • The charging case can provide approximately 3 full charges for both transmitters and the receiver.
  • Transmitters and receiver offer up to 4 hours of operation on a full charge. The charging case provides up to 12 hours of additional power.
