Operating Instructions

Wi-Fi Connectivity

Once the drivers are installed, your computer will detect available Wi-Fi networks.

  • Connect to Wi-Fi: Click on the Wi-Fi icon in your system tray (usually in the bottom-right corner of your screen), select your desired network, and enter the password if prompted.
  • Dual Band Operation: The card supports both 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz bands. The 2.4GHz band offers wider coverage, while the 5.8GHz band provides faster speeds with less interference, ideal for online gaming and 4K Ultra HD video streaming.
  • Soft AP Function: You can create a Wi-Fi hotspot using the Soft AP function, allowing other Wi-Fi devices to connect to your computer's internet connection. Refer to your operating system's network settings for configuration.

Maintenance

The EDUP AC1300M card features a high-quality heatsink designed for efficient heat dissipation. This helps maintain optimal operating temperature and performance, especially during demanding tasks like gaming or 4K video playback. No specific user maintenance is required for the heatsink itself.

Troubleshooting

  • No Wi-Fi or Bluetooth: Ensure the card is correctly seated in the PCI-E slot and the Bluetooth USB cable is securely connected to the motherboard. Verify that both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth drivers are installed.
  • Poor Signal/Slow Speed: Adjust the orientation of the antennas. Ensure your router is within reasonable range and there are no major obstructions. Try connecting to the 5.8GHz band if your router supports it and you are close to the router.
  • Bluetooth Disconnections: Confirm the Bluetooth USB cable is firmly connected. Try updating the Bluetooth driver to the latest version from the EDUP support website or Intel's website (for Intel 7265 chipset).
  • Driver Installation Issues: If the included CD-ROM does not work, download the drivers directly from the EDUP support website. If issues persist, contact customer support.
  • Card Not Detected: Power off your PC, reseat the card in the PCI-E slot, and ensure it is fully inserted. Check your motherboard's BIOS/UEFI settings to ensure the PCI-E slot is enabled.
