6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your decoder, refer to the following common problems and solutions before contacting support.

  • No Power:
Symptom: The decoder does not turn on, and the front display is off.
Solution: Check if the power adapter is securely connected to both the decoder and a working power outlet. Try a different outlet.
  • No Signal / Blank Screen:
Symptom: "No Signal" message on TV or a blank screen.
Solution: Ensure the antenna cable is firmly connected to the RF IN port. Verify your TV is set to the correct input source (HDMI or SCART). Perform a channel scan again. Check the antenna for proper positioning and connection.
  • No Audio (HDMI Connection):
Symptom: Video is present, but there is no sound when connected via HDMI.
Solution: This can sometimes occur with certain TV models. Try restarting the decoder. Check the audio settings in the decoder's menu and your TV's audio settings. Ensure the HDMI cable is fully inserted.
  • Remote Control Not Responding:
Symptom: The decoder does not respond to remote control commands.
Solution: Check the batteries in the remote control and replace them if necessary. Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote control and the decoder's infrared receiver. Point the remote directly at the external infrared receiver.
  • "Function Not Supported" During Recording:
Symptom: A message appears stating "Function not supported" when attempting to record, but recording still starts.
Solution: This is a known display anomaly; the recording function should still be active. Verify by checking the recording indicator on the screen.
  • Poor Picture Quality:
