3. Device Layout and Controls

Familiarize yourself with the device's buttons and display:

  • Power Button (Red): Press and hold for 2 seconds to turn the device on or off.
  • SET Button: Short press to cycle through alarm value settings for CO2, TVOC, and HCHO.
  • "+" Button: Increases values during alarm setting; used for data storage function.
  • "-" Button: Decreases values during alarm setting; used for data storage function.
  • Mute Button (Speaker icon): Toggles the alarm sound on or off.
  • Temperature Unit Selection Button (°C/°F): Switches between Celsius and Fahrenheit temperature display.

4. Setup

Charging the Device

  1. Connect the provided USB charging cable to the device's charging port.
  2. Connect the other end of the USB cable to a compatible USB power adapter (not included) or a computer USB port.
  3. During charging, the battery icon on the display will flash sequentially.
  4. The battery icon will be fully displayed and stop flashing once charging is complete.
  5. Note: When the battery power is low, the battery icon will flash to remind the user to charge.

Powering On/Off

  1. To power on, press and hold the red Power button for approximately 2 seconds. The device will initiate a 120-second countdown before displaying readings.
  2. To power off, press and hold the red Power button for approximately 2 seconds.

5. Operating Instructions

Reading Measurements

Once powered on and the countdown is complete, the device will automatically begin displaying real-time measurements for CO2, TVOC, HCHO, temperature, and humidity on its screen.

Setting Alarm Values

  1. Short press the SET button to cycle through the alarm settings for CO2, TVOC, and HCHO. The currently selected parameter's value will flash.
  2. Use the "+" and "-" buttons to adjust the alarm threshold for the flashing parameter.
  3. After adjusting, the value will be automatically stored after 10 seconds of inactivity.

Mute Function

Press the Mute button (speaker icon) to toggle the alarm sound on or off. When muted, the "volume prohibited" sign will not be displayed, and no audible alarm will sound. The default setting is with the sound enabled.

Temperature Unit Conversion

Press the °C/°F button to switch the temperature display between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F).

Environmental Quality Indicators

The device provides visual indicators for air quality based on preset thresholds:

  • Excellent: All detection values are below their respective set alarm values.
  • Good:
    • CO2 detection value is 50ppm higher than the set value.
    • TVOC detection value is 0.01 mg/m³ higher than the set value.
    • HCHO detection value is 0.03 mg/m³ higher than the set value.
  • Pollution: A rapid sound alarm will activate (if not muted).
    • CO2 detection value is 100ppm higher than the set value.
    • TVOC detection value is 0.02 mg/m³ higher than the set value.
    • HCHO detection value is 0.06 mg/m³ higher than the set value.

6. Maintenance

Cleaning

Wipe the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these may damage the casing or sensors.

Storage

Store the device in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. If storing for extended periods, ensure the battery is partially charged to prolong its lifespan.

7. Troubleshooting

Device Not Turning On

  • Ensure the device is sufficiently charged. Connect it to a power source and allow it to charge for at least 30 minutes before attempting to power on again.
  • Confirm you are pressing and holding the Power button for the required 2 seconds.

Inaccurate Readings

  • Ensure the device is placed in an area with good air circulation and not directly exposed to strong drafts or stagnant air pockets.
  • Avoid placing the device near sources of high heat, humidity, or chemical emissions that could interfere with sensor accuracy.
  • Allow the device to stabilize for a few minutes after powering on, especially when moving it to a new environment.

Alarm Not Sounding

  • Check if the mute function is activated. Press the Mute button to toggle the sound on.
  • Verify that the alarm thresholds are set correctly and that current readings exceed these thresholds.
