Setup

1. Unpack the Mug: Carefully remove the Ember Smart Mug 2, charging coaster, and power adapter from the packaging.
2. Charge the Mug: Connect the power adapter to the charging coaster and plug it into a power outlet. Place the mug onto the coaster. The LED on the mug will indicate charging status (pulsing light). Ensure the bottom of the mug is dry before placing it on the coaster.
3. Download the Ember App: Download the Ember app from your smartphone's app store (iOS or Android).
4. Pair with the App: Open the Ember app and follow the on-screen instructions to pair your mug. This allows you to set custom temperatures, receive notifications, and manage settings.
5. Initial Use: Once charged and paired, fill your mug with your desired hot beverage. The mug will automatically detect the liquid and begin heating to your set temperature, or the default 135°F if not connected to the app.

Operating Instructions

Setting Temperature:

• Using the App: Open the Ember app, select your mug, and use the temperature slider to set your desired drinking temperature. The mug will adjust accordingly.
• Standalone Use: Without the app, the mug defaults to 135°F (57°C). It remembers your last used temperature setting if previously set via the app.

LED Indicator:

The LED light at the base of the mug provides visual cues:

• Pulsing White: Heating or cooling to target temperature.
• Solid White: At target temperature.
• Pulsing Red: Low battery.
• Solid Green: Fully charged.
• Solid Red: Error (refer to troubleshooting).

Auto Sleep Function:

The mug features an auto-sleep function. It will wake up when it senses liquid or motion and go to sleep when empty or inactive for a period to conserve battery life.

Cleaning Instructions:

• Hand Wash Only: The Ember Smart Mug 2 is designed for hand washing. Do not place it in a dishwasher.
• Submersible: The mug is fully submersible up to 1 meter. You can rinse or soak it for cleaning.
• Drying: Ensure the bottom of the mug is completely dry before placing it back on the charging coaster to prevent damage to the charging contacts.
