3. Setup & Installation

The SURFOU Wireless Doorbell is designed for easy and convenient installation. It can be used right out of the box.

3.1. Transmitter (Push Button) Installation

The push button is powered by a pre-installed 12V 23A battery. Before installation, ensure the plastic insulating sheet is removed from the battery compartment if present.

You have two options for mounting the push button:

  1. Using Double-Sided Adhesive: Clean the desired mounting surface thoroughly. Peel off one side of the double-sided adhesive tape and apply it to the back of the push button. Peel off the other side and firmly press the button onto the wall or door frame for at least 30 seconds.
  2. Using Screws: For a more secure installation, use the provided screws and dowels. Mark the desired drilling points on the wall. Drill pilot holes, insert the dowels (if necessary for your wall type), and then screw the push button into place.

4. Operating Instructions

Your SURFOU Wireless Doorbell system is ready to use once installed. Here's how to customize its operation:

4.1. Chime Selection

The doorbell offers 55 classic ringtones. To change the chime, press the 'Music Note' button on the side of the receiver. Each press will cycle through the available melodies. Stop when you hear your preferred chime.

4.2. Volume Adjustment

The volume can be adjusted across 5 levels, ranging from 0dB (mute) to 110dB. Press the 'Volume' button on the side of the receiver to cycle through the volume levels. Select the level appropriate for your environment.

4.3. Memory Function

The doorbell system features a memory function. The previously set chime and volume level will be retained even after the receiver is unplugged and reinserted, eliminating the need to reset your preferences.

4.4. LED Flashing Indicator

In addition to audible chimes, the receivers feature a colorful LED flashing light. This visual alert is especially useful for individuals with hearing impairments, ensuring they are aware of a visitor.

4.5. Pairing and Expansion

The system utilizes multiple learning codes and a stable signal scheme, providing strong anti-interference capabilities. You can pair different chimes with different buttons if you have multiple transmitters, allowing you to identify which door has been triggered. The system supports unlimited expansion with additional SURFOU wireless doorbell components.

5. Maintenance

5.1. Battery Replacement (Push Button)

The push button's 12V 23A battery has an average service life of up to 3 years. When the button's performance degrades or it stops working, it's time to replace the battery. Use the provided mini screwdriver to open the battery compartment, replace the old battery with a new 12V 23A battery, and securely close the compartment.

5.2. Cleaning

To maintain the appearance and functionality of your doorbell, wipe the surfaces with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your SURFOU Wireless Doorbell, please refer to the following common solutions:

  • No Sound from Receiver:
    • Ensure the receiver is securely plugged into a working power outlet.
    • Check if the volume is set to 0 (mute). Adjust the volume using the volume button.
    • Verify the push button battery. Replace if necessary.
    • Re-pair the push button with the receiver if the connection seems lost (refer to pairing instructions in Section 4.5).
  • Short Wireless Range:
    • Ensure there are no significant metal objects or thick walls directly between the push button and the receiver that could obstruct the signal.
    • Relocate the receiver to a more central position or closer to the push button.
    • Avoid placing the receiver near large electronic devices that may cause interference.
  • Button Not Responding:
    • Check and replace the 12V 23A battery in the push button.
