Setup and Installation

The SURFOU Wireless Doorbell is designed for quick and easy installation.

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Unpack and Prepare: Remove all components from the packaging. Ensure the plastic insulating sheet is removed from the battery compartment of the push button.
  2. Plug in Receiver(s): Insert the plug-in receiver(s) into a standard electrical outlet in your desired location(s). The receiver will light up, indicating it is powered on.
  3. Mount Push Button: Choose a suitable location for the push button, typically near your front door.
    • Option 1: Adhesive Mounting
      • Clean the mounting surface thoroughly to ensure it is dry and free of dust or grease.
      • Peel off one side of the double-sided adhesive tape and apply it firmly to the back of the push button.
      • Peel off the other side of the adhesive tape and press the push button firmly onto the desired surface for at least 30 seconds.
    • Option 2: Screw Mounting
      • Carefully open the push button casing using the provided mini screwdriver.
      • Mark the drilling points on the wall through the screw holes on the back plate.
      • Drill holes and insert the provided dowels.
      • Secure the back plate to the wall with the screws.
      • Reattach the front casing of the push button.
  4. Test Functionality: Press the push button to ensure the receiver rings and the LED flashes.

Operating Instructions

Changing Chime/Ringtone

  1. On the receiver, press the Forward Button or Backward Button to cycle through the 55 available chimes.
  2. Stop at your desired chime. The receiver will play the selected chime.

Adjusting Volume

  1. On the receiver, press the Volume Button repeatedly to cycle through the 5 volume levels (0dB to 110dB).
  2. Select the volume level that best suits your needs.

Pairing Additional Buttons/Receivers (Re-pairing)

If you need to pair a new push button with an existing receiver, or re-pair an existing one:

  1. Select Chime: First, choose your desired chime on the receiver by pressing the Forward or Backward button.
  2. Enter Pairing Mode: Long press the Volume Button on the receiver for approximately 8 seconds until the receiver emits a "ding" sound and the LED flashes rapidly. This indicates it is in pairing mode.
  3. Activate Transmitter: Quickly press the push button (transmitter) within 8 seconds. The receiver will emit two "ding" sounds and the LED light will flash, confirming successful pairing.
  4. Exit Pairing Mode: The receiver will automatically exit pairing mode after 8 seconds if no button is pressed, or after successful pairing.

Maintenance

Cleaning

Wipe the doorbell units with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.

Battery Replacement (Push Button)

The push button is powered by a 12V 23A battery. When the button's LED indicator no longer lights up or the signal becomes weak, it's time to replace the battery.

  1. Using the provided mini screwdriver, gently insert it into the small notch at the bottom of the push button casing at a 45-degree angle.
  2. Carefully pry off the back cover.
  3. Remove the old 12V 23A battery.
  4. Insert a new 12V 23A battery, ensuring correct polarity (negative contact spring).
  5. Snap the back cover firmly back into place.
