Product Overview

This Taylor digital scale features a mixed material design with modern gray glass combined with brushed stainless steel. It includes a curved 12.4" x 12.4" durable, tempered glass platform. The 3.5" x 1.5" display with white backlight ensures easy readability in low light. It has an extra high 440 lb capacity and reads in 0.2 lb increments. The Step-on Technology allows for immediate readings without tapping. Three AAA batteries are included, and it comes with a 5-year limited warranty.

Setup and First Use

Battery Installation

Your scale requires 3 AAA batteries (included). Open the battery compartment on the underside of the scale and insert the batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-). Close the compartment securely.

Placement

For accurate readings, place the scale on a hard, flat surface. Avoid carpets or uneven flooring, as this can affect accuracy.

Initial Calibration

Before first use or after moving the scale, calibration is recommended:

1. Step on the scale briefly, applying enough pressure to turn the display on.
2. Remove your foot. The digital readout should show dashes or zeros.
3. The scale will automatically turn off. It is now calibrated and ready for use.

Operating Instructions

Taking a Weight Measurement

This scale features "Step-on Technology" for convenience:

1. Ensure the scale is on a hard, flat surface.
2. Gently step onto the center of the scale platform. The scale will automatically turn on and begin measuring.
3. Stand still until your weight is displayed and locks on the screen.
4. Step off the scale. The display will remain on for a few seconds before automatically turning off.

Changing Weight Units (Pounds/Kilograms)

The unit switch is located on the underside of the scale. To change between pounds (lb) and kilograms (kg), simply slide the switch to your desired unit.

Maintenance

Cleaning

To clean your scale, wipe the surface with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the scale in water. Keep the scale dry.

Battery Replacement

When the display shows "Lo" or becomes dim, it is time to replace the batteries. Open the battery compartment on the underside of the scale, remove the old batteries, and insert new 3 AAA batteries, observing correct polarity. Dispose of old batteries responsibly.

Troubleshooting

• "Lo" displayed: Indicates low battery. Replace the 3 AAA batteries.
• "Err" displayed: Indicates an overload. The scale's maximum capacity is 440 lbs (200 kg). Remove weight immediately to prevent damage.
• Inconsistent readings: Ensure the scale is on a hard, flat, and level surface. Recalibrate the scale by stepping on it briefly, then stepping off until it shows zeros, before taking a new measurement. Avoid moving the scale between measurements.
• No display: Check if batteries are installed correctly and are not depleted.
