Setup and Initial Configuration
The THINKCAR SD4 is designed for plug-and-play operation. Simply connect the device to your vehicle's OBDII port. The device will power on automatically and display real-time battery voltage.
Wi-Fi Connection and Software Update:
For initial setup and to ensure optimal performance, the SD4 requires an internet connection to install and auto-update new car model data packets. Connect to a stable Wi-Fi network through the device's settings menu. Once connected, the device will prompt you for available updates. It is recommended to update all available software to the latest version for full functionality and compatibility.

Initial Vehicle Connection:
After initial setup and updates, the SD4 will rapidly detect your vehicle's VIN and retrieve vehicle information upon connection to the OBDII port. This allows for quick and accurate diagnosis without manual input.

Operating Instructions
The THINKCAR SD4 provides comprehensive diagnostic functions for various vehicle systems and supports all 10 OBDII test modes.
System Diagnosis:
The SD4 can diagnose Engine (ECM), Transmission (AT), Airbag (SRS), and Antilock Brake (ABS) systems. It quickly determines the cause of vehicle failures, clears fault codes, and turns off warning lights. A complete Automotive Diagnostic Report can be generated with one click, allowing you to record information and review past fault codes and data.

OBDII Test Modes:
The tool supports all 10 test modes of OBDII, including:

These functions include Oil Reset, SAS (Steering Angle Sensor) Reset, TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) Reset, DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) Reset, Brake Reset, and many more.

Once activated, the selected special reset functions cannot be changed. Choose them carefully based on your specific needs. Additional reset functions can be purchased through the device's ThinkStore.

"Unavailable on the Internet" Prompt:
If you encounter the "Unavailable on the Internet" prompt, this issue has been systematically addressed. Please contact customer service with a picture of the fault information. A repair software link will be provided, including clear data files and detailed operating instructions to quickly and effectively resolve the problem.
General Troubleshooting:
Ensure the device is properly connected to the vehicle's OBDII port. Verify that the vehicle's ignition is in the ON position. For any persistent issues or questions regarding specific car models, please provide your Car Brand, Model, and Release Year to customer service for compatibility checks and support.
