Mounting Your Device
The camera requires a vertical or horizontal surface for mounting. Ensure the chosen location provides a clear view of the area you wish to monitor and is within range of your Wi-Fi network.

Powering Your Device
Your Spotlight Cam Pro is powered by a Quick Release Battery Pack. Insert the fully charged battery pack into the designated slot on the camera. The device supports up to two battery packs for extended life, though only one is included. The camera also supports dynamic switching between plug-in and battery power modes if a plug-in adapter is purchased separately.
Connecting to Wi-Fi
The camera connects via 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi at both 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz frequencies. A recommended minimum upload speed of 4.5 Mbps is advised for optimal performance. Video resolution may vary based on internet bandwidth.
Ring App Integration

Video Quality and Night Vision
Experience brilliantly clear 2K video with HDR (High Dynamic Range) for enhanced detail in bright and dark areas. The camera also features Live View for real-time monitoring and Color Night Vision, allowing you to see events in full color even in low-light conditions. The field of view is 140° horizontal and 80° vertical.

The Spotlight Cam Pro utilizes advanced 3D Motion Detection with Bird's Eye Zones and Bird's Eye View. Two-Way Talk and Audio+

Battery Management
The Quick Release Battery Pack is rechargeable. When the battery level is low, remove the pack and charge it using the included Micro USB Charging Cable. If you have a second battery pack, you can swap it in to ensure continuous operation while the first charges. The camera is designed to use one battery at a time if two are installed.
Software Updates
Your device receives guaranteed software security updates for at least four years after its last availability for purchase as a new unit on Ring websites. Ensure your camera's firmware is always up-to-date through the Ring app to benefit from the latest features and security enhancements.
Cleaning
To maintain optimal performance and image clarity, periodically clean the camera lens and the surrounding housing with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could damage the device.

- Connectivity Issues: If your camera frequently disconnects or has poor video quality, ensure your Wi-Fi signal is strong at the camera's location. Check your internet speed and consider moving your router closer or using a Wi-Fi extender.
- Battery Draining Quickly: High activity levels, extreme temperatures (especially cold), and frequent Live View usage can reduce battery life. Adjust motion sensitivity, reduce Live View usage, or consider purchasing a second battery pack or a solar charger (sold separately) for continuous power.
- False Motion Alerts: Adjust your motion zones and sensitivity settings in the Ring app. Utilize the 3D Motion Detection and Bird's Eye View features to refine detection areas and minimize alerts from irrelevant movements.
- No Audio/Poor Audio: Ensure the microphone and speaker are not obstructed. Check audio settings in the Ring app.
