Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and performance of your RC buggy.

  • Cleaning: After each use, especially in dirty or wet conditions, clean the vehicle to remove dirt, dust, and moisture. Use a soft brush or compressed air for dry debris, and a damp cloth for stubborn dirt.
  • Inspection: Periodically inspect all components for wear or damage, including tires, suspension, drivetrain, and electronics. Replace damaged parts promptly.
  • Lubrication: Apply appropriate RC-specific lubricants to moving parts such as gears and bearings as needed to reduce friction and wear.
  • Battery Care: Always fully charge batteries before storage. If storing for extended periods, charge them every 7 days to prevent over-discharging. Refer to the Battery Safety section for more details.
  • Storage: Store the vehicle and batteries in a dry, cool, and clean place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

Troubleshooting

This section addresses common issues you might encounter with your HAIBOXING 2995 RC Buggy.

ProblemSolution
Stopped working after a few uses
  • Fully charge battery packs before each use and ensure transmitter batteries are sufficient.
  • Check if the vehicle can be bound with the transmitter.
  • Verify if it moves forward/backward or steers.
  • Ensure no damaged parts in the drivetrain.
  • Verify motor and ESC function properly.
  • If problems persist, contact seller for assistance.
Steering works but the car won't run
  • Ensure battery power is sufficient. ESC may not drive with low battery.
  • Verify motor and ESC function.
  • Check if drivetrains are clogged. No stripped gears, no unusual noise, no floppy wheels, and no missing drive shafts.
Not going straight
  • Tune the Steering Trim on the transmitter.
  • Ensure steering links and servo are undamaged. No deformed parts in the steering system.
  • Make sure tires are properly locked and not wobbling.
Batteries can't take charge
  • Check if the USB charging cable works.
  • Do not leave batteries idle for a long time. Charge them regularly to avoid damage from over-discharging.
Not going in reverse
  • Do not push and pull the throttle trigger back and forth too rapidly. To go in reverse, always center the trigger and then push it a second time.
  • Try re-binding the transmitter and vehicle.
One of the wheels does not turn
  • The drive shaft to that wheel may be dislodged or damaged.
  • Ensure the wheel is securely attached.
Shuts off itself
  • This problem may arise from low battery voltage cutoff or overheat cutoff. Charge batteries or wait until the ESC is cooled down.
  • If the problem still occurs, replace the ESC.
No signal connection, binding failure
  • Try with fresh batteries and in a different location. Ensure you have not driven it out of range.
  • If the problem still occurs, contact us for parts/replacement service.
Not steering
  • Ensure steering posts, steering links, or servo saver and servo are in good working order.
  • Make sure no objects are impeding the steering system.
Does not seem to be waterproof
  • It is splash waterproof, not fully submersible. Do not drive it into salty water as it will corrode the car.
  • To maintain performance, clean the car carefully after use in wet conditions.
Missing parts
  • Although every car is strictly tested before leaving the factory, inadvertent mistakes or damage during transportation may occur. If this is the case, please contact us for assistance.
The car runs itself when switched on
  • Please re-bind the transmitter and vehicle. Do not move the trigger and steering wheel until the vehicle has been bound with the transmitter.
  • If the problem still occurs, please contact us for assistance.
