2. Product Overview
The Denzel DGT-430S is a gasoline-powered trimmer designed for efficient cutting of grass, weeds, and light shrubs. It features a 43 cc two-stroke engine, a two-piece shaft for portability, and a bicycle-style handle for comfortable operation. 3. Components and Package Contents

4. Setup and Assembly
Follow these steps to assemble your Denzel DGT-430S trimmer. Ensure the engine is off and cool before beginning assembly.
4.1. Shaft Assembly
- Connect the upper shaft section (attached to the engine) to the lower shaft section. Align the grooves and push until it clicks into place.
- Secure the connection with the locking knob or bolt provided.
4.2. Handlebar Installation
- Attach the bicycle handlebar assembly to the shaft using the provided clamp and bolts.
- Position the handlebar for comfortable operation, ensuring the throttle trigger is easily accessible. Tighten all bolts securely.

4.3. Safety Guard and Cutting Attachment
- Mount the safety guard to the lower shaft using the designated screws. Ensure it is firmly attached and positioned to protect against debris.
- Choose your desired cutting attachment:
- For Trimmer Line Spool: Attach the spool head to the gearbox spindle. Follow the instructions for winding new line if necessary.
- For Steel Cutting Disc: Secure the steel disc onto the gearbox spindle, ensuring the correct washers and nuts are used. Tighten firmly.

4.4. Fuel Preparation
The DGT-430S uses a 2-stroke engine and requires a mixture of unleaded gasoline and 2-stroke engine oil.
- Mix gasoline and 2-stroke oil at a ratio of 25:1 (25 parts gasoline to 1 part oil). Use the provided mixing bottle for accurate measurement.
- Shake the mixture thoroughly.
- Carefully pour the fuel mixture into the trimmer's fuel tank. Do not overfill.
- Wipe up any spilled fuel immediately.

4.5. Shoulder Harness Adjustment
Attach the shoulder harness to the trimmer's designated attachment point. Adjust the straps to distribute the trimmer's weight evenly and comfortably across your shoulders and back, reducing fatigue during use.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Starting the Engine (Cold Start)
- Place the trimmer on a flat, stable surface.
- Set the engine stop switch to the "ON" position.
- Engage the choke lever to the "CLOSED" or "START" position.
- Press the primer bulb 5-7 times until fuel is visible in the return line.
- Pull the starter cord firmly and steadily until the engine briefly fires (usually 1-3 pulls). Do not pull the cord to its full extension.
- Once the engine fires, move the choke lever to the "OPEN" or "RUN" position.
- Pull the starter cord again until the engine starts and runs smoothly.
- Allow the engine to warm up for 30-60 seconds before applying throttle.
5.2. Starting the Engine (Warm Start)
- Set the engine stop switch to the "ON" position.
- The choke may not be necessary. If the engine does not start after a few pulls, try engaging the choke halfway.
- Pull the starter cord until the engine starts.
5.3. Stopping the Engine
To stop the engine, release the throttle trigger and move the engine stop switch to the "OFF" position.
5.4. General Operation
- Always hold the trimmer with both hands firmly on the handlebars.
- Maintain a balanced stance and keep your feet apart.
- Use a sweeping motion to cut grass and weeds.
- Avoid hitting hard objects like rocks, fences, or concrete, as this can damage the cutting attachment and the trimmer.
- When using the steel cutting disc, be extra cautious of kickback, especially when cutting thicker brush.
- Periodically check the cutting attachment for wear or damage. Replace as needed.
6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your Denzel DGT-430S trimmer. Always ensure the engine is off and cool, and the spark plug cap is disconnected before performing any maintenance.
6.1. Air Filter Cleaning
- Remove the air filter cover.
- Carefully remove the air filter element.
- Clean the filter with warm, soapy water, rinse thoroughly, and allow it to air dry completely. Alternatively, tap out loose debris.
- Reinstall the dry air filter and cover. Replace if heavily soiled or damaged.
6.2. Spark Plug Inspection and Replacement
- Remove the spark plug cap and use a spark plug wrench to remove the spark plug.
- Inspect the electrode for wear, carbon buildup, or damage.
- Clean any carbon deposits with a wire brush.
- Check the spark plug gap and adjust if necessary (refer to specifications for correct gap).
- Replace the spark plug if it is worn or damaged.
- Reinstall the spark plug and cap, tightening the plug to the manufacturer's specifications.
6.3. Cutting Attachment Maintenance
- Trimmer Line Spool: Replace the trimmer line when it becomes too short or worn. Refer to the spool's specific instructions for reloading.
- Steel Cutting Disc: Inspect the disc for dullness, cracks, or missing teeth. Sharpen dull blades with a file or replace damaged discs immediately.
6.4. General Cleaning and Storage
- Clean the exterior of the trimmer after each use, removing grass, dirt, and debris.
- Ensure cooling fins on the engine are clear of obstructions.
- For long-term storage, drain the fuel tank and run the engine until it stops to clear the carburetor of fuel. This prevents fuel degradation issues.
- Store the trimmer in a dry, well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
