Introduction
This manual provides essential information for the operation and maintenance of your GoPro HERO9 Black action camera. The HERO9 Black features a 23.6MP sensor, enabling 5K Ultra HD video and 20MP photos. It includes front and rear touch screens, HyperSmooth 3.0 stabilization, and is waterproof without additional housing.

Setup
1. Battery Installation
The GoPro HERO9 Black requires one Lithium Ion battery (included). To install, open the side door of the camera. Insert the battery with the correct orientation, ensuring the contacts align. Close the side door securely to maintain the camera's waterproof seal.
2. MicroSD Card Insertion
A MicroSD card (sold separately) is required for recording photos and videos. Open the side door and locate the MicroSD card slot. Insert the card with the label facing the front of the camera until it clicks into place. To remove, press the card gently until it springs out.
3. Initial Power On
Press the Mode button (located on the side) to power on the camera. The front and rear screens will activate. Follow any on-screen prompts for initial setup, such as language selection and date/time settings.

Maintenance
Cleaning the Camera
After use, especially in saltwater or dirty environments, rinse the camera with fresh water and dry it thoroughly with a soft, lint-free cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or cleaning solvents. For the lens and screens, use a lens cleaning cloth.
Battery Care

Storage

Troubleshooting
Camera Not Powering On
- Ensure the battery is fully charged and correctly inserted.
