1. Product Overview

The Yealink W73H is a new-generation wireless DECT handset designed for business communication. It offers a sleek, modern design, enhanced portability, and improved battery life, combined with high-quality voice communication and secure DECT encryption technology. This handset is compatible with Yealink W70B DECT IP base stations and W90 multi-cell systems, providing flexible options for office communication needs.

2. Package Contents

3. Getting Started

3.1 Battery Installation

  1. Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the handset.
  2. Slide the cover downwards and remove it.
  3. Insert the two AAA rechargeable batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+ and -).
  4. Replace the battery compartment cover and slide it upwards until it clicks into place.

3.2 Charging the Handset

  1. Connect the power adapter to the charger cradle and then to a power outlet.
  2. Place the W73H handset into the charger cradle. Ensure the charging contacts on the handset align with those on the cradle.
  3. The battery icon on the handset display will indicate charging status. For first-time use, charge the handset for at least 10 hours.

3.3 Registering the Handset

The W73H handset must be registered to a Yealink DECT IP base station (e.g., W70B) to function. Refer to your base station's manual for specific registration instructions. Generally, the process involves:

  1. Put the DECT base station into registration mode (usually by pressing and holding a button on the base).
  2. On the W73H handset, navigate to the registration menu (e.g., Menu > Settings > Registration > Register Handset).
  3. Select the base station and enter the system PIN (default is usually 0000 or 1234).
  4. Once successfully registered, the handset display will show the base station name or an active line indicator.

4. Basic Operations

4.1 Making Calls

  • Dialing Directly: Enter the phone number and press the Call key.
  • From Call History: Press the History key, navigate to the desired entry, and press the Call key.
  • From Directory: Press the Directory key, navigate to the desired contact, and press the Call key.

4.2 Answering Calls

When the phone rings, press the Call key or any soft key (e.g., Answer) to answer the call.

4.3 Ending Calls

During a call, press the End Call key to terminate the conversation.

4.4 Volume Adjustment

During a call, use the Up and Down navigation keys to adjust the earpiece or speaker volume.

4.5 Mute Function

During a call, press the Mute soft key to mute your microphone. Press it again to unmute.

5. Maintenance and Care

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the handset and charger cradle. Do not use liquid or aerosol cleaners.
  • Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. If the handset will not be used for an extended period, remove the batteries.
  • Environment: Keep the handset away from excessive heat, direct sunlight, and moisture.
  • Handling: Avoid dropping the handset or subjecting it to strong impacts.

6. Troubleshooting
