Safety Information

WARNING: To avoid possible electrical shock, always disconnect power to the ceiling fan at the main circuit breaker or fuse box before attempting any installation, maintenance, or troubleshooting procedures. Ensure all wiring connections are secure and comply with local electrical codes. If you are unsure about any electrical procedures, consult a qualified electrician.

Installation Instructions

Follow these steps carefully to install the Anderic FD40-H02R receiver in your Harbor Breeze ceiling fan. Detailed instructions are provided to ensure a smooth and hassle-free installation process.

Step 1: Prepare for Installation

  1. Disconnect Power: Before beginning any work, turn off the power to the ceiling fan at the main circuit breaker or fuse box. Verify that the power is off by attempting to operate the fan or light.
  2. Access Receiver Compartment: Depending on your fan model, you may need to remove the canopy or light kit to access the existing receiver.
  3. Remove Old Receiver: Carefully disconnect the wiring from the old receiver. Note the color and connection points of each wire before removal. It may be helpful to take a picture for reference.

Step 2: Install New Receiver

  1. Connect Wiring: Connect the wires from the ceiling fan and house wiring to the new Anderic FD40-H02R receiver according to the wiring diagram provided with your fan or the general wiring color codes (typically black for live, white for neutral, green/bare for ground, blue for light, etc.). Ensure all connections are secure.
  2. Position Receiver: Carefully place the new receiver into the fan's receiver compartment. Ensure no wires are pinched.

Step 3: Reassemble Fan and Pair Remote

  1. Reassemble Fan: Reattach the canopy or light kit, ensuring all components are securely fastened.
  2. Restore Power: Turn the power back on at the main circuit breaker or fuse box.
  3. Pair Remote Control: Within 5 seconds of restoring power to the fan, press and hold the "Learn" button on your compatible remote control (e.g., Anderic RRTX012 or Harbor Breeze A25-TX012). The fan light may blink or the fan may briefly operate to indicate successful pairing.

If your remote does not have a "Learn" button, consult your remote's instruction manual for pairing procedures. Some older remotes may not require pairing or use dip switches.

Operating Instructions

Once the receiver is successfully installed and paired with your remote control, you can operate your ceiling fan and light functions using the remote. Refer to your specific remote control's manual for detailed button functions and operation modes (e.g., fan speed control, light dimming, fan direction reversal).

Maintenance

The Anderic FD40-H02R receiver requires minimal maintenance. To ensure optimal performance and longevity:

  • Keep the receiver and fan components dry and free from dust.
  • Avoid exposing the receiver to extreme temperatures or humidity.
  • Do not attempt to open or repair the receiver unit yourself, as this may void any warranty and poses an electrical hazard.
