2. Important Safety Warnings

  • Consult a healthcare professional before using the sauna, especially if you have pre-existing medical conditions, are pregnant, or are taking medication.
  • Stay hydrated. Drink plenty of water before, during, and after sauna sessions to prevent dehydration.
  • Do not exceed recommended session times (typically 15-30 minutes).
  • The steam generator unit becomes very hot during operation. Always use the handle to lift the lid and avoid direct contact with hot surfaces.
  • Ensure the steam hose is not kinked to allow for proper steam flow and prevent pressure buildup.
  • Do not block the explosion-proof valve on the steam generator.
  • When adding essential oils, start with a small amount (e.g., one drop) to gauge intensity.
  • Place the steam outlet accessory under the chair, maintaining a minimum 15.7-inch (40cm) safe distance from your feet.

3. Package Contents

Verify that all components are present before beginning assembly:

  • Steam Generator (2.6L capacity, 1000W, 110V/60HZ)
  • Remote Control
  • Folding Chair
  • Assembly Poles (various lengths)
  • Connectors/Brackets
  • Steam Hose (long)
  • Steam Outlet Accessory (white plastic)

4. Assembly Instructions

Assembly is designed to be quick and straightforward, typically taking around 5-10 minutes.

  1. Assemble the Frame: Connect the poles using the provided connectors/brackets to form the rectangular frame of the sauna tent. Ensure all connections are secure.
  2. Position the Sauna Tent: Unzip the sauna tent completely. Place the bottom of the tent onto the assembled frame. The tent features a thicker plastic base for durability.
  3. Insert Floor Liner: Place the washable bottom sweat pad inside the tent, covering the base.
  4. Secure the Tent to the Frame: Pull the tent fabric up and over the frame. The tent has zippers that go all the way around, allowing it to fit snugly over the frame without excessive stretching. Zip up the tent completely.
  5. Connect Steam Generator: Place the steam generator outside the sauna tent. Connect one end of the long steam hose to the steam outlet on the generator's lid.
  6. Connect Steam Outlet Accessory: Feed the other end of the steam hose through the designated opening on the sauna tent (usually at the back or bottom). Connect it to the white plastic steam outlet accessory inside the tent. Ensure the hose is not kinked.
  7. Place Chair: Unfold the provided folding chair and place it inside the sauna tent. Position the steam outlet accessory safely under the chair, away from direct contact with your feet.

5. Operating Instructions

  1. Fill Steam Generator: Open the lid of the steam generator. Fill the stainless steel pot with water up to the indicated maximum level (2.6L capacity). Do not overfill.
  2. Add Essential Oils (Optional): If desired, add a few drops of your favorite essential oil to the designated compartment or a cotton ball placed on the platform inside the steam outlet accessory. Start with one drop to test intensity.
  3. Power On: Plug in the steam generator. Use the remote control or the control panel on the unit to turn it ON. The unit will typically default to a 45-minute timer and heating level 8.
  4. Adjust Settings: Use the remote control or control panel to adjust the timer (5-95 minutes) and heating level (1-9) according to your preference. Level 9 is the hottest setting.
  5. Pre-heat: Allow the sauna to pre-heat for 5-10 minutes. The 1000W generator can reach 110°F in about 8 minutes. For optimal heat, cover the head hole with a towel during pre-heating.
  6. Enter Sauna: Once pre-heated, enter the sauna and zip yourself in. You can extend your hands through the arm zippers to read or use devices.
  7. Monitor Session: The timer will count down, and the unit will automatically shut off when the session is complete.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning the Interior: After each use, wipe down the interior of the sauna tent with a towel to absorb moisture. The washable bottom sweat pad can be removed and cleaned as needed.
  • Drying the Tent: To prevent mold and mildew, fully unzip the tent after use and allow it to air dry completely before folding and storing.
  • Descaling the Steam Generator: Regularly descale the stainless steel pot of the steam generator using citric acid (if provided) or a suitable descaling solution to prevent mineral buildup.
  • Storage: When not in use, disassemble the sauna and store it in a cool, dry place. The portable design allows for easy storage.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Sauna not heating sufficiently:
    • Ensure the room temperature is not too low (e.g., below 65°F / 18°C), as this can affect heat retention.
    • Verify the heating level is set to maximum (Level 9) and allow adequate pre-heating time (5-10 minutes).
    • Check that the steam hose is not kinked, which can restrict steam flow.
    • Ensure the tent is fully zipped to prevent steam from escaping.
  • Steam generator not producing steam:
    • Check that the water level is sufficient and within the indicated range. The unit has an anti-dry burn feature and will not heat without water.
    • Ensure the unit is properly plugged in and turned on.
  • Remote control not working:
    • Ensure the remote is pointed directly at the steam generator's sensor.
    • Check the remote's battery.
  • Flimsy frame/tent stability issues:
    • Ensure all poles are fully inserted into their connectors/brackets.
    • Verify the tent fabric is properly stretched and zipped around the frame for added stability.
