Installation Steps:

  1. Prepare the Vehicle: Ensure the vehicle is turned off and the parking brake is engaged. Disconnect the negative terminal of the vehicle's battery.
  2. Locate the BCM: The Body Control Module is typically located under the dashboard on the driver's side. Refer to your vehicle's service manual for the exact location.
  3. Access Connections: Carefully remove any necessary trim panels to access the BCM and its wiring harnesses.
  4. Connect the T-Harness: The Start-X T-harness is designed to plug directly into the factory connectors at the BCM. Disconnect the factory harnesses one by one and insert the corresponding T-harness connectors in between. Ensure all connections are secure.
  5. Connect the Module: Plug the main Start-X remote start module into the T-harness.
  6. Initial Programming: Reconnect the vehicle's battery. Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the ON position (do not start the engine). The module's LED indicator should show a solid red light, then flash green three times, and then turn off, indicating successful initial programming.
  7. Secure Wiring: Route and secure all wiring to prevent interference with moving parts or accidental disconnections.
  8. Reassemble: Reinstall all trim panels removed during the installation process.
