Thank you for choosing the Equation Mini Ceramic Fan Heater Ceram 2. This compact and lightweight electric ceramic fan heater is designed to provide efficient heating for spaces up to 15m². Please read this manual carefully before operating the appliance to ensure safe and proper use. Keep this manual for future reference.

Important Safety Information

WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury, observe the following safety precautions:

  • Read all instructions before using this heater.
  • This heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surfaces.
  • Keep combustible materials, such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes, and curtains at least 1 meter (3 feet) from the front of the heater and keep them away from the sides and rear.
  • Extreme caution is necessary when any heater is used by or near children or invalids and whenever the heater is left operating and unattended.
  • Do not operate any heater with a damaged cord or plug or after the heater malfunctions, has been dropped or damaged in any manner. Return heater to authorized service facility for examination, electrical or mechanical adjustment, or repair.
  • Do not use outdoors.
  • This heater is not intended for use in bathrooms, laundry areas and similar indoor locations. Never locate heater where it may fall into a bathtub or other water container.
  • Do not run cord under carpeting. Do not cover cord with throw rugs, runners, or similar coverings. Arrange cord away from traffic area and where it will not be tripped over.
  • To disconnect heater, turn controls to OFF, then remove plug from outlet.
  • Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as this may cause an electric shock or fire, or damage the heater.
  • To prevent a possible fire, do not block air intakes or exhaust in any manner. Do not use on soft surfaces, like a bed, where openings may become blocked.
  • A heater has hot and arcing or sparking parts inside. Do not use it in areas where gasoline, paint, or flammable liquids are used or stored.
  • Use this heater only as described in this manual. Any other use not recommended by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock, or injury to persons.
  • Always plug heaters directly into a wall outlet/receptacle. Never use with an extension cord or relocatable power tap (outlet/power strip).

Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the heater from its packaging. Retain the packaging for future storage.
  2. Placement: Place the heater on a firm, level surface. Ensure there is at least 1 meter (3 feet) of clear space around the heater from walls, furniture, and other objects. Do not place it on soft surfaces like carpets or rugs that might block the air intake.
  3. Power Connection: Ensure the heater is switched OFF (Power/Mode Selector knob set to '0'). Plug the power cord directly into a grounded 220-240V AC, 50Hz electrical outlet. Do not use extension cords or power strips.

Operating Instructions

Follow these steps to operate your fan heater:

  1. Turn On: Rotate the Power/Mode Selector knob clockwise to select the desired setting:
    • Fan Only (I): Activates the fan without heat, useful for air circulation.
    • Low Heat (II - 750W): Provides 750 Watts of heating power, suitable for smaller rooms up to 7.5 m².
    • High Heat (III - 1500W): Provides 1500 Watts of heating power, suitable for rooms up to 15 m².
    The power indicator light will illuminate when the heater is on.
  2. Set Thermostat: Rotate the Thermostat Control knob clockwise to increase the desired temperature. For continuous heating, turn the knob to its maximum setting. Once the room reaches the set temperature, the heater will cycle on and off to maintain it. To lower the temperature, turn the knob counter-clockwise.
  3. Turn Off: To turn off the heater, rotate the Power/Mode Selector knob counter-clockwise to the '0' (OFF) position. Unplug the heater from the wall outlet when not in use.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your heater.

  • Cleaning:
    • Always unplug the heater from the wall outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
    • Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe the exterior surfaces of the heater. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
    • Use a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment to remove dust from the air intake and exhaust grilles.
    • Never immerse the heater in water or allow water to drip into the interior of the heater.
  • Storage:
    • Store the heater in its original packaging in a cool, dry place when not in use.
    • Avoid storing the heater in direct sunlight or in areas with high humidity.

Troubleshooting

If your heater is not operating correctly, refer to the following common issues and solutions:

  • Adjust thermostat to a higher setting.
  • Relocate heater to an open area, ensuring proper clearance.
