Setup
Powering the Device
The Magnavox MD6924 can be powered in two ways:
- AC Power: Connect the provided AC power cord to the AC IN jack on the back of the unit and then plug it into a standard wall outlet.
- Battery Power: For portable use, open the battery compartment on the bottom of the unit. Insert 6 C-size batteries (not included), ensuring correct polarity (+/-). Close the battery compartment securely.
Antenna Setup
For optimal FM radio reception, extend the telescopic antenna fully. For AM reception, the unit has a built-in antenna, so no external adjustment is needed.
Operating Instructions
CD Playback
- Open the CD compartment lid located on the top of the unit.
- Carefully place a CD (CD-R/CD-RW compatible) onto the center spindle with the label side facing up.
- Close the CD compartment lid firmly until it clicks.
- Slide the FUNCTION switch (located on the side) to the 'CD' position.
- Press the PLAY/PAUSE button to start playback. The track number will appear on the LED display.
- Use the SKIP/SEARCH buttons (◀◀ / ▶▶) to skip tracks or fast forward/rewind within a track.
- Press the STOP button to stop playback.
- To program tracks, press the PROG button while the CD is stopped, then use SKIP/SEARCH to select tracks and PROG to confirm. Press PLAY to start the programmed sequence.
AM/FM Radio
- Slide the FUNCTION switch to the 'RADIO' position.
- Select either 'AM' or 'FM' using the AM/FM band switch.
- Rotate the TUNING dial (located on the side) to find your desired radio station.
- Adjust the VOLUME dial to your preferred listening level.
AUX Input
- Connect a 3.5mm audio cable (not included) from your external audio device (e.g., smartphone, MP3 player) to the AUX IN jack on the side of the boombox.
- Slide the FUNCTION switch to the 'AUX' position.
- Start playback on your external device.
- Adjust the volume using the VOLUME dial on the boombox and/or your external device.

Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the unit. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- CD Care: Handle CDs by their edges. Keep them clean and free of scratches. Store them in their cases when not in use.
- Battery Replacement: Replace all batteries at the same time. Do not mix old and new batteries or different types of batteries. Remove batteries if the unit will not be used for an extended period.
- Storage: Store the unit in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
