4. Setup
4.1. Installation of the Switching Unit (Receiver)
The switching unit must be installed by a qualified electrician. Ensure the main power supply to the heating/cooling system is turned off before installation.
- Mount the switching unit in a suitable location near your heating or air conditioning appliance, away from direct heat sources or drafts.
- Connect the power supply (230 V AC) to the appropriate terminals on the switching unit.
- Connect the control wires from your heating/cooling system to the switching relay terminals (e.g., NO, COM, L) or OpenTherm terminals (OT1, OT2) as required by your appliance. Refer to your appliance's manual for specific wiring diagrams.

4.2. Control Unit (Transmitter) Battery Installation
- Open the battery compartment on the back of the control unit.
- Insert the 2 x AA Mignon batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery compartment. The display should illuminate.

4.3. Pairing the Units
The control unit and switching unit are typically pre-paired at the factory. If communication issues occur or if you are setting up new units, follow these general pairing steps:
- Ensure both units are powered on.
- On the switching unit, locate and press the 'ID' button (refer to Image 2.3). The indicator light may flash.
- On the control unit, access the pairing menu (refer to the full manual for specific button sequences, usually involving holding a 'P' or 'Mode' button).
- Confirm pairing on the control unit. A successful pairing will usually be indicated by a steady light on the switching unit and a confirmation message on the control unit's display.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Display Overview
The control unit's backlit display provides essential information:
- Current Room Temperature: Displays the actual temperature detected by the control unit.
- Set Temperature: Shows the desired temperature you have programmed.
- Time and Day: Current time and day of the week.
- Program Indicator: Shows which program (P1-P9) is currently active.
- Operating Mode: Indicates heating, cooling, or OFF.
- Battery Indicator: Alerts when batteries are low.

5.2. Basic Temperature Adjustment
To manually adjust the desired temperature:
- Press the Up (▲) or Down (▼) arrow buttons to increase or decrease the set temperature.
- The new setting will be temporarily active until the next programmed event or until manually overridden.

5.3. Programming Modes
The thermostat offers 9 programs for automated temperature control:
- 6 Fixed Programs: Pre-set schedules for common daily routines.
- 3 Customizable Programs: Allows users to define their own temperature schedules for specific times and days.
To access and modify programs, press the P button and follow the on-screen prompts. Refer to the detailed manual for specific steps on setting custom programs.

5.4. ON/OFF Function
The thermostat includes a basic ON/OFF function. Press the O/C button to cycle through operating modes (e.g., Heating, Cooling, OFF). In OFF mode, the system will not actively heat or cool, but frost protection may remain active.
5.5. Frost Protection
When activated, frost protection ensures the temperature does not drop below a pre-set minimum (typically around 5-7°C) to prevent pipes from freezing. This feature is usually active even when the thermostat is in OFF mode.
5.6. Hysteresis Adjustment
Hysteresis (also known as differential) is the temperature range around the set point within which the heating/cooling system will not activate. This prevents rapid cycling of your appliance. You can adjust the hysteresis to 0.1 °C, 0.2 °C, 0.5 °C, or 1.0 °C through the thermostat's settings menu. A smaller hysteresis provides tighter temperature control but may lead to more frequent cycling.
6. Maintenance
6.1. Battery Replacement
When the low battery indicator appears on the control unit's display, replace the 2 x AA Mignon batteries promptly to ensure continuous operation. Refer to Section 4.2 for battery installation steps.
6.2. Cleaning
Clean the thermostat units with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or immerse the units in water. Ensure no moisture enters the units.
7. Troubleshooting
- No Display on Control Unit: Check if batteries are correctly inserted and not depleted. Replace batteries if necessary.
- Heating/Cooling System Not Responding:
- Verify the switching unit has power.
- Check the wiring connections to the heating/cooling system.
- Ensure the control unit and switching unit are properly paired (refer to Section 4.3).
- Check the operating mode (Heating/Cooling/OFF) and set temperature on the control unit.
- Inaccurate Temperature Reading: The thermostat supports temperature calibration. Consult the full user manual for instructions on how to access and adjust temperature calibration settings.
- Poor Wireless Range: Ensure the control unit and switching unit are within the specified range (up to 100m in open areas). Large metal objects, thick walls, or other electronic devices can interfere with the radio signal. Try repositioning the control unit.
- Thermostat Cycles Too Frequently: Adjust the hysteresis setting (refer to Section 5.6) to a wider differential.
