Operating Instructions

1. Powering On and Off

Press the power button once to turn the toothbrush on. Press it again to turn it off.

2. Selecting Brushing Modes

The D20 Plus handle features 6 brushing modes. While the toothbrush is on, press the mode button (often indicated by a down arrow or a separate button) to cycle through the available modes. Select the mode that best suits your needs.

3. Brushing Technique

  • Wet the brush head and apply a small amount of toothpaste.
  • Place the brush head on your teeth, holding it at a slight angle towards the gumline.
  • Turn on the toothbrush.
  • Guide the brush head slowly from tooth to tooth, allowing it to clean each tooth surface for a few seconds. Do not scrub.
  • Brush all four quadrants of your mouth evenly. Many Oral-B models include a built-in timer to assist with recommended brushing time.

Maintenance and Cleaning

1. After Each Use

Rinse the brush head thoroughly under running water with the power handle switched on. Then, turn off the handle and remove the brush head. Rinse both the brush head and the handle separately under running water. Wipe the handle dry with a cloth.

2. Charging Unit Cleaning

Unplug the charging unit before cleaning. Wipe its surface with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the charging unit in water.

3. Brush Head Replacement

Dentists recommend replacing your brush head every 3 months, or sooner if the bristles become splayed or worn. Indicator bristles will fade halfway to signal when to replace your brush head.

Troubleshooting

  • Toothbrush does not turn on: Ensure the handle is fully charged. If it still doesn't turn on, contact customer support.
  • Reduced brushing power: This may indicate a low battery. Place the handle on the charger for a full charge cycle.
  • Brush head does not fit: Ensure you are using genuine Oral-B brush heads compatible with Type 3765 power handles.
  • Charging indicator not working: Check if the charging unit is properly plugged into a working outlet and the handle is correctly placed on the charger.
