1.2 MicroSD Card Insertion

The dash cam supports MicroSD cards up to 256GB. A high endurance MicroSD card is recommended for optimal performance and durability. Insert the MicroSD card into the designated slot on the main unit before powering on the device.

1.3 Mounting the Dash Cam

Attach the main dash cam unit to your vehicle's windshield using the provided 3M adhesive sticker. Ensure the mounting location provides a clear view of the road ahead and does not obstruct your driving visibility. The interior camera is integrated into the main unit and can be rotated for optimal cabin coverage.

1.4 Connecting the Rear Camera

Mount the rear camera on your vehicle's rear window using its adhesive. Connect the rear camera to the main unit using the 19.7ft rear camera cable. Route the cable neatly along the vehicle's headliner and A-pillars using the trim removal tool to tuck it away.

1.5 Power Connection

Connect the main unit to your vehicle's 12V power outlet using the provided car charger adapter and USB-C cable. For 24-hour parking mode functionality, an optional VIOFO HK4 Acc Hardwire Kit (B09MRVP2PX) is required for continuous power supply.

1.6 Optional Circular Polarizing Lens (CPL) Filter

An optional CPL filter can be attached to the front lens to reduce windshield reflections and glare, enhancing video clarity. This accessory is sold separately.

2. Operating Instructions

2.1 Initial Power On and Voice Notification

2.7 Loop Recording & Emergency Lock

When the memory card reaches its storage limit, the dash cam automatically overwrites the oldest video files with new ones. The built-in G-sensor detects sudden shaking or collisions and automatically locks the current video file to prevent it from being overwritten, ensuring important footage is preserved.

2.8 Bluetooth Remote Control (Optional)

An optional Bluetooth remote control allows for easy footage protection. With a simple press, you can instantly lock the current video file, preventing it from being overwritten during loop recording.

3. Parking Mode Solutions

The T130 offers three parking mode solutions to protect your vehicle when parked. These modes require the optional VIOFO HK4 Acc Hardwire Kit (B09MRVP2PX) for continuous power.

VIOFO T130 24 Hours Parking Mode

Image: Illustrates the 24-hour parking mode features of the VIOFO T130, showing three parking solutions: Auto Event Detection, Time Lapse, and Low Bitrate Recording.

3.1 Auto Event Detection

Automatically starts recording when an event (like a collision or sudden movement) is detected. This mode records 15 seconds before and 30 seconds after the event.

3.2 Time Lapse Recording

Records video continuously at a low frame rate (e.g., 1/2/3/5/10 fps), compressing long periods into shorter videos. This saves storage space while providing a complete overview.

3.3 Low Bitrate Recording

Records continuously in mini files at a low bitrate (e.g., 4MB/s), helping to save MicroSD card memory while maintaining ongoing recording with audio.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Memory Card Management

Regularly format your MicroSD card (e.g., once a month) to ensure optimal performance and prevent data corruption. Use the VIOFO app to format the card. VIOFO industrial high endurance MicroSD cards are recommended for dash cam recording.

4.2 Cleaning Lenses

Periodically clean the camera lenses with a soft, lint-free cloth to ensure clear video quality. Avoid using harsh chemicals that could damage the lens coating.

5. Troubleshooting

5.1 Camera Not Powering On

Ensure the power cable is securely connected to both the dash cam and the vehicle's power source. Verify the vehicle's 12V outlet is functioning. If using a hardwire kit, check its installation and fuse connections.

5.2 Recording Issues (Not Recording/Overwriting)

Confirm a MicroSD card is properly inserted and formatted. If the card is full, loop recording should automatically overwrite old files. If not, format the card. Ensure the card is a high endurance type suitable for dash cams. Check app settings for any recording timer or motion detection conflicts.

5.3 Front Camera Not Working

If the front camera stops working, try resetting the device. Check for any visible damage to the lens or unit. If the issue persists, contact VIOFO customer support.

5.4 Overheating in Hot Climates

The dash cam is designed to operate within a specific temperature range. In extremely hot conditions, especially in direct sunlight, the device may overheat. Consider parking in shaded areas or using a sunshade. Ensure proper ventilation around the unit.

5.5 Wi-Fi Connectivity Issues

Ensure the dash cam's Wi-Fi is enabled. On your smartphone, try turning on airplane mode, then re-enabling Wi-Fi and connecting to the dash cam's network. Restarting both the dash cam and your phone may resolve connectivity problems.
