Installing the Remote Sensor

  1. Insert 2 AAA batteries (not included) into the remote sensor.
  2. Place the remote sensor outdoors in a shaded area, protected from direct sunlight and rain, to ensure accurate temperature and humidity readings.
  3. Ensure the remote sensor is within the wireless transmission range of 197 feet (in open space) from the main unit.

The main unit will automatically attempt to connect with the remote sensor upon power-up. If connection is not established, press the "CH" button on the main unit to initiate a search for the sensor.

Maintenance

  • Clean the display and unit surfaces with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Avoid exposing the main unit to direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, or high humidity.
  • Ensure the remote sensor is placed in a location protected from direct weather elements (rain, snow, direct sun) to prolong its lifespan and maintain accuracy.
  • Replace batteries in both the main unit and remote sensor when the low battery indicator appears on the display.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
No display on main unit. No power or low batteries. Ensure AC adapter is properly connected or replace AAA batteries.
Outdoor readings are inaccurate or missing. Remote sensor out of range, low battery, or interference. Move sensor closer to main unit, replace sensor batteries, or relocate to avoid interference. Press "CH" button to re-sync.
Weather forecast seems incorrect. Forecast is based on barometric pressure changes over time, not real-time conditions. Allow 7-14 days for the station to learn local atmospheric pressure patterns for more accurate forecasts.
Display backlight does not stay on. Unit is running on battery power. Connect the AC adapter for continuous backlight.
