Setup and Installation
- Mounting the Front Dash Cam: Attach the suction cup mount to the front dash cam. Securely mount the dash cam on your vehicle's windshield, ideally behind the rearview mirror to avoid obstructing your view.
- Connecting Power: Connect the car charger to the front dash cam's mini USB port and plug the other end into your vehicle's 12V power outlet.
- Installing the Rear Camera: Connect the 1080P waterproof rear camera to the main dash cam using the provided rear camera cable. Route the cable neatly along the vehicle's interior trim to the rear of the car. The installation tool can assist in tucking the cable.
- Reverse Parking Assistance (Optional): For reverse parking assistance, connect the red wire from the rear camera cable to your vehicle's reverse lights. Note that the dash cam screen is small for primary parking assistance.
- Insert Micro SD Card: Insert a brand Micro SD card (up to 256GB, not included) into the dash cam. It is recommended to format the Micro SD card on the camera itself before first use.

Operating Instructions
- Automatic Recording: The dash cam will automatically power on and begin recording when your vehicle's ignition is turned on.
- Loop Recording: When the storage card is full, the loop recording feature automatically overwrites the oldest files to make space for new recordings, ensuring continuous operation.
- G-Sensor (Emergency Lock): In the event of a sudden shake or collision, the built-in G-sensor will automatically detect the impact and lock the current footage, preventing it from being overwritten. Adjust the G-sensor sensitivity to a middle setting to prevent frequent locking and memory card filling.
- Parking Monitor: When enabled, the dash cam will automatically power on and record if an impact is detected while the vehicle is parked, providing surveillance against hit-and-runs. Ensure motion detection is turned off while driving for seamless recording.
- Night Vision: The F1.8 wide aperture, AHD rear camera, and WDR technology enhance night vision, providing clear images in low-light conditions.
- Built-in GPS: The dash camera records real-time GPS coordinates, driving route, and speed, which can be embedded in video files. Playback your ground track on a map using the downloadable customized player.

Maintenance
- Formatting SD Card: Regularly format the Micro SD card (at least once a month) to ensure optimal performance and prevent data corruption. Always format the card directly on the dash cam.
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the camera lens and screen. Avoid abrasive materials or chemical cleaners.
- Firmware Updates: Check the GILAYGROW website periodically for firmware updates to ensure your dash cam has the latest features and bug fixes.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your GILAYGROW dash cam, please refer to the following common solutions:
- Video Footage Appears Choppy or Corrupted:
- Ensure you are using a high-speed (Class 10 or U3 recommended) Micro SD card from a reputable brand.
- Format the Micro SD card regularly on the dash cam.
- Adjust the G-sensor sensitivity to a middle setting to prevent excessive file locking, which can fill the memory card quickly.
- Camera Keeps Starting and Turning Off:
- Verify the power connection is stable and the car charger is functioning correctly.
- Check the "Delayed Power Off" setting in the menu. This feature allows the camera to record for a few seconds after the car is turned off.
- Screen Goes Black During Operation:
- Check the "Screen Saver" setting in the menu. The screen can be set to turn off after a specified period (e.g., 30 seconds) to save power and reduce distraction. The camera continues recording even if the screen is off.
- Rear Camera Image is Reversed:
- Check for available firmware updates from GILAYGROW, as some updates may address image orientation issues.
