Introduction
The Crosley Discovery CR8009B-BW is a portable, vintage-inspired turntable designed for playing vinyl records and streaming digital music. Setup
- Unpack the Turntable: Carefully remove the turntable from its packaging. Retain all packing materials for future transport or storage.
- Placement: Place the turntable on a flat, stable surface away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and excessive dust or vibration.
- Power Connection: Connect the included Power Adaptor to the DC IN jack on the back of the turntable and then plug it into a wall outlet.
- Remove Stylus Protector: Gently remove the white plastic stylus protector from the needle assembly.
- Turntable Platter Setup: Ensure the drive belt is correctly positioned around the motor pulley and the inner rim of the platter.

Operating Instructions
Playing Records
- Power On: Turn the Power/Volume knob clockwise to power on the unit.
- Select Phono Mode: Set the function switch to PHONO.
- Select Speed: Set the speed switch to the appropriate speed (33 1/3, 45, or 78 RPM) for your record. Use the 45 RPM adapter for 7-inch singles.
- Place Record: Place a record on the turntable platter.
- Lift Tonearm: Release the tonearm clip and use the cueing lever to gently lift the tonearm.
- Position Tonearm: Move the tonearm over the desired track of the record.
- Lower Tonearm: Gently lower the tonearm using the cueing lever. The record will begin to play.
- Adjust Volume: Adjust the volume using the Volume knob.
- Adjust Pitch: Use the Pitch Control knob to fine-tune the playback speed if needed.
- Auto-Stop: The turntable features an auto-stop function that stops the platter when the record finishes. If you prefer continuous rotation, set the Auto-Stop switch to OFF.

Bluetooth Input (Streaming to Turntable Speakers)
- Power On: Turn the Power/Volume knob clockwise to power on the unit.
- Select Bluetooth Mode: Set the function switch to Bluetooth. The Bluetooth indicator light will flash.
- Pair Device: On your Bluetooth-enabled device (e.g., smartphone), search for "Crosley Discovery" in the Bluetooth settings and pair. Once connected, the indicator light will be solid.
- Play Music: Play music from your device. Audio will stream through the turntable's built-in speakers.
- Adjust Volume: Adjust the volume using the Volume knob on the turntable and/or your connected device.

Bluetooth Output (Streaming Vinyl to External Speakers)
- Power On: Turn the Power/Volume knob clockwise to power on the unit.
- Select Phono Mode: Set the function switch to PHONO.
- Activate Bluetooth Output: Press and hold the Bluetooth button (usually near the function switch) until the Bluetooth indicator light flashes rapidly.
- Pair External Speaker: Put your external Bluetooth speaker into pairing mode. The turntable will automatically search for and connect to the nearest Bluetooth speaker. Once connected, the indicator light will be solid.
- Play Record: Follow the steps for "Playing Records" above. Audio will now stream to your external Bluetooth speaker.
- Adjust Volume: Adjust the volume on your external Bluetooth speaker. The turntable's volume knob will not control the output volume in this mode.

Headphone Use
For private listening, plug your headphones into the 3.5mm headphone jack located on the front of the unit. The built-in speakers will automatically mute.

RCA Output
To connect the turntable to an external stereo system or powered speakers, use an RCA cable (not included). Connect the red and white RCA plugs to the corresponding input jacks on your external audio system. Ensure your external system is set to the correct input source.

Maintenance
- Cleaning the Stylus: Use a soft brush to gently clean the stylus (needle) from back to front. Do not use harsh chemicals.
- Cleaning the Turntable: Wipe the turntable's surface with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Record Care: Keep your records clean and free of dust. Store them vertically in their sleeves to prevent warping.
- Stylus Replacement: The stylus has a limited lifespan. If sound quality deteriorates, replace the stylus with a compatible Crosley replacement.
