4. Setup
4.1 Charging the Doorbell
Before initial use, fully charge the doorbell camera using the provided USB cable. Connect the USB cable to the doorbell's charging port and a 5V USB power adapter (not included). The charging indicator light will show the charging status.

4.2 Downloading the Smart Life App
The G-Homa Smart Video Doorbell Camera operates with the Smart Life app. Download the app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).

4.3 Pairing the Doorbell with the App
- Open the Smart Life app and register or log in to your account.
- Tap the "+" icon in the top right corner to add a device.
- Select "Video Surveillance" > "Smart Doorbell".
- Follow the on-screen instructions to put the doorbell into pairing mode (usually by pressing and holding the reset button until an indicator light flashes).
- Enter your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network name and password. Note: The doorbell only supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi networks. 5GHz networks are not supported.
- The app will generate a QR code. Hold your phone with the QR code in front of the doorbell camera lens (approximately 15-20 cm away) until you hear a prompt indicating successful scanning.
- Once connected, the doorbell will appear in your app's device list.

4.4 Installation and Mounting
Choose a suitable location for your doorbell, typically near your front door. Ensure the Wi-Fi signal is strong in the chosen area.
- Mounting Bracket: Secure the mounting bracket to the wall using the provided screws and wall anchors.
- Optional AC Wiring: If you wish to hardwire the doorbell for continuous power (12-24V AC), connect the existing doorbell wires to the terminals on the back of the mounting bracket.
- Attach Doorbell: Slide the doorbell camera onto the mounting bracket until it clicks into place. Secure it with the small security screw at the bottom.

4.5 Chime Setup
Plug the wireless chime into a standard power outlet inside your home. The chime will automatically pair with the doorbell. You can select from 4 available ringtones via the chime unit.

Open the Smart Life app to view the live feed from your doorbell camera. When a visitor presses the doorbell or motion is detected, you will receive a notification on your smartphone. Tap the notification to answer and engage in two-way audio communication.

5.2 Motion Detection (PIR)
The doorbell features Passive Infrared (PIR) motion detection to alert you of activity at your door. You can adjust the sensitivity of the motion detection within the Smart Life app settings to minimize false alarms.
