6. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Lock does not respond or power on. | Dead batteries. | Replace with 4 new AA batteries. Use a power bank for emergency power via the Micro-USB port. |
| Fingerprint sensor is inconsistent. | Finger placement, dirty sensor, or dry/wet finger. | Ensure finger is clean and dry. Place finger firmly and completely on the sensor. Re-register fingerprint if issues persist. |
| Lock only locks, does not unlock. | Incorrect door orientation setting. | Remove the back panel and check the door orientation switch (left/right). Adjust it to match your door's swing direction (viewed from inside). You may need to remove batteries and reinsert after adjusting. |
| Auto-lock engages too quickly/slowly. | Auto-lock timer setting needs adjustment. | Adjust the auto-lock duration within the TTLock app settings. Consider a longer delay if you frequently carry items through the doorway. |
| Cannot connect to TTLock app. | Bluetooth is off, app not paired, or lock is out of range. | Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone. Be within Bluetooth range of the lock. Follow the app's pairing instructions. |
| Remote control not working. | G2 Gateway not installed or configured correctly. | Ensure the G2 Gateway is properly installed, powered, and connected to your Wi-Fi network. Verify it is paired with your smart lock in the TTLock app. |
