3. Setup
3.1 Unfolding and Mounting Your Smartphone
- Unfold the Gimbal: Gently unfold the iSteady Q from its compact state. The handle will split to form the tripod legs. Ensure all joints click into place securely.
- Mount Your Smartphone: Extend the smartphone clamp and carefully place your phone into it. Ensure the phone is centered and balanced within the clamp for optimal performance. The phone can be mounted horizontally or vertically.
- Unlock the Gimbal Arm: Locate the locking switch on the gimbal arm. Slide the switch to the "unlocked" position to allow the arm to rotate freely. Note: The gimbal arm will not rotate if locked.
