Operating the Camera

Basic Functions

Shutter Button

Press the red shutter button on the front of the camera to take a picture.

Flash Control

The flash can be toggled on or off using the flash button on the back of the camera. For optimal results in low light, ensure the flash is active.

Film Counter

The LED display on the back of the camera indicates the number of photos remaining in the film pack.

Self-Timer

Activate the self-timer function via the Polaroid mobile app for delayed shots.

Connecting to the Polaroid App

App-Controlled Creative Modes

Aperture Priority Mode

This mode allows you to control the depth of field in your photos. A lower f-stop creates a blurry background (sharp portrait), while a higher f-stop keeps more of the composition in focus. The app will adjust exposure time based on your aperture selection.

Double Exposure Mode

Capture two images on a single frame for artistic effects. The app guides you through taking two separate exposures that are then combined into one photo. For best results, ensure one exposure has contrast or shadows, and the second is bright to maintain balance.

Light Painting Mode

Use a light source to "paint" patterns or drawings during a long exposure. Mount your camera on a tripod in a dark environment, select Light Painting in the app, and use a light source (like your phone's flashlight) to create your desired effect.

Tripod Mode

Ideal for low-light conditions, this mode allows for longer exposure times to capture more detail. Use a tripod to stabilize the camera, select Tripod Mode in the app, and the app will calculate the optimal exposure time.

Manual Mode

For advanced users, Manual Mode provides full control over aperture, shutter speed, and flash power. Adjust these settings directly within the app to achieve precise photographic results.

Saving Shortcuts

Save your favorite app modes as shortcuts directly to your camera. This allows quick access to your preferred settings without needing to navigate the app every time.

Lens Filter Set

Your Polaroid Now+ camera comes with a bonus set of 5 creative lens filters: Starburst, Red Vignette, Orange, Yellow, and Blue. These filters can be easily attached to the camera lens to add unique effects to your photos.

Attaching Filters

To attach a color filter, simply press it over the camera lens. For the Starburst and Red Vignette filters, align the small notch on the filter with the light meter at the bottom of the lens, then gently press until it clicks into place.

Maintenance

Cleaning the Lens and Rollers

Regularly clean the camera lens with a soft, lint-free cloth. If film ejection issues occur, gently clean the film rollers inside the film compartment with a damp cloth.

Battery Care

To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the camera frequently. Store the camera in a cool, dry place when not in use.

Troubleshooting

Film Not Ejecting

Ensure the film pack is correctly inserted and not expired. Check for any obstructions in the film slot. If the issue persists, try cleaning the film rollers.

Poor Photo Quality

Verify lighting conditions are appropriate for the chosen mode (flash on for low light, app settings adjusted for specific effects). Ensure the lens is clean. For app-controlled modes, check settings like aperture and exposure.

Camera Not Powering On

Confirm the battery is charged. Connect the camera to a power source and attempt to power on after a few minutes.
