Setup
The Hyper Tough 25' Tape Measure requires no assembly. Upon unboxing, inspect the tape measure for any visible damage. Ensure the blade extends and retracts smoothly and that the blade lock engages properly. The belt clip is pre-attached and ready for use.
Operating Instructions
Extending and Retracting the Blade
- To extend the blade, simply pull the end of the tape measure from the casing. The blade will extend freely.
- To retract the blade, release your grip on the blade. The internal spring mechanism will automatically pull the blade back into the casing.
Using the Blade Lock
- Extend the blade to the desired length.
- Push the black locking switch located on the top of the casing forward to engage the blade lock. This will hold the blade firmly in place.
- To release the lock, pull the black locking switch backward. The blade will then retract.

Reading Measurements
- The blade features both continuous scale and fractional markings for easy reading.
- Foot-inch markings are clearly indicated.
- Special 16-inch markings are provided for framing, and 19.2-inch markings for truss layout.
- The Zero-Read tip allows for accurate inside and outside measurements. For inside measurements, butt the tip against the surface. For outside measurements, hook the tip over the edge of the object.

Care and Maintenance
- Keep the tape measure clean and free of debris. Wipe the blade with a dry cloth after use.
- Avoid exposing the tape measure to excessive moisture or extreme temperatures, as this can affect its accuracy and durability.
- Store the tape measure in a dry place when not in use.
- Do not force the blade if it becomes stuck; gently pull it out and retract it to clear any obstructions.
Troubleshooting
