3. Setup Instructions

  1. Prepare Work Area: Ensure your work area is clear of flammable materials and is well-ventilated. Have a fire extinguisher or water source readily available.
  2. Inspect Torch Head: Before each use, inspect the torch head for any damage, loose connections, or obstructions in the nozzle.
  3. Connect Fuel Cylinder: Hold the torch head firmly. Align the threaded connector of the torch head with the valve on a standard 1lb Propane, MAPP, or MAP-PRO gas cylinder. Turn the torch head clockwise until it is hand-tight. Do not overtighten.

  1. Check for Leaks: After connecting the cylinder, apply a soapy water solution to the connection point. If bubbles appear, there is a leak. Tighten the connection further or replace the cylinder if the leak persists. Do not use the torch if a leak is detected.

4. Operating Instructions

  1. Open Gas Flow: Slowly turn the flame adjustment knob counter-clockwise to open the gas flow. You should hear a faint hiss of gas.
  2. Ignite the Torch: Press the instant on/off trigger to ignite the flame. If the torch does not ignite immediately, close the gas flow, wait a few seconds, and repeat the process.

  1. Adjust Flame: Use the flame adjustment knob to increase or decrease the flame size to suit your application.
  2. Lock Flame (Optional): For continuous operation, press the lock button while the torch is lit. This will keep the flame on without needing to hold the trigger. To release, press the trigger again.
  3. Shut Down: To turn off the torch, first release the lock button (if engaged) by pressing the trigger. Then, turn the flame adjustment knob clockwise until the gas flow is completely shut off and the flame extinguishes.
  4. Disconnect Fuel Cylinder: Once the torch head has cooled completely, carefully unscrew the torch head from the fuel cylinder by turning it counter-clockwise. Store the torch head and cylinder separately in a safe location.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your torch head.

  • Cleaning the Tip: The torch features a removable tip for easy cleaning. Ensure the torch is cool and disconnected from the fuel cylinder before attempting to remove the tip. Unscrew the tip and clear any debris or carbon buildup. Reattach securely before next use.
