1. Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the Marshall Major IV On-Ear Bluetooth Headphones. Please read this guide thoroughly before using your headphones to ensure proper operation and to maximize your listening experience. The Major IV headphones offer over 80 hours of wireless playtime, wireless charging capability, and an ergonomic design for extended comfort.

Key Components:

• Earcups: Soft, ergonomic ear cushions designed for comfort during extended listening.

4. Setup

4.1 Charging the Headphones

Before initial use, fully charge your Major IV headphones. The headphones offer two charging methods:

• USB-C Charging: Connect the supplied USB-C cable to the USB-C port on the headphone and to a USB power source.
• Wireless Charging: Place the right earcup flat on a compatible wireless charging pad (not included). Ensure the earcup is centered on the charging pad for optimal charging.

A full charge provides over 80 hours of wireless playtime. A quick 15-minute charge can provide approximately 15 hours of listening time.

4.2 Power On/Off

• To Power On: Press and hold the multi-directional control knob for approximately 2 seconds until the LED indicator lights up and an audible power-on sound is heard.
• To Power Off: Press and hold the multi-directional control knob for approximately 2 seconds until the LED indicator turns off and an audible power-off sound is heard.

4.3 Bluetooth Pairing

To connect your headphones to a Bluetooth-enabled device:

1. Ensure the headphones are powered off.
2. Press and hold the multi-directional control knob for 4-5 seconds until the LED indicator flashes blue. This indicates pairing mode.
3. On your device (smartphone, tablet, computer), navigate to the Bluetooth settings.
4. Select "Major IV" from the list of available devices.
5. Once connected, the LED indicator will turn solid white.

Note: If you experience Bluetooth connectivity issues, turn off the Bluetooth function on your device for a few minutes, then turn it back on and attempt to pair again.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Multi-directional Control Knob Functions

The multi-directional control knob provides comprehensive control over your audio and calls:

• Play/Pause: Press the knob once.
• Skip Forward: Push the knob to the right.
• Skip Backward: Push the knob to the left.
• Increase Volume: Push the knob upwards.
• Decrease Volume: Push the knob downwards.
• Answer/End Call: Press the knob once during an incoming call or active call.
• Reject Call: Press and hold the knob for 2 seconds during an incoming call.
• Activate Voice Assistant: Press and hold the knob for 2 seconds when no call is active.

5.2 Wired Connection

To use the headphones with a wired connection, plug the supplied 3.5mm audio cable into the 3.5mm jack on the headphones and into your audio source. The headphones do not need to be powered on for wired listening.

5.3 Audio Sharing

The Major IV headphones feature an audio sharing function. When connected wirelessly via Bluetooth, another pair of headphones can be plugged into the 3.5mm jack on the Major IV to share the audio output.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning

• Wipe the headphones with a soft, dry cloth.
• Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
• Avoid getting moisture into any openings.

6.2 Storage

The Major IV headphones are designed to fold for compact storage. Fold them carefully to prevent damage. Store in a cool, dry place away from extreme temperatures and direct sunlight.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Major IV headphones, refer to the following common solutions:

7.1 No Power / Not Turning On

• Ensure the headphones are fully charged. Connect them to a power source using the USB-C cable or a wireless charging pad.
• Verify that you are pressing and holding the multi-directional control knob for the correct duration (approx. 2 seconds) to power on.

7.2 Bluetooth Connectivity Issues

• Make sure the headphones are in pairing mode (flashing blue LED).
• Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your device and it is within range (up to 10 meters).
• Try turning off and then turning on your device's Bluetooth.
• Forget "Major IV" from your device's Bluetooth list and attempt to pair again.
• Restart both your headphones and your device.

7.3 No Sound / Low Sound

• Check the volume levels on both your headphones (using the control knob) and your connected device.
• Ensure the headphones are properly connected via Bluetooth or the 3.5mm audio cable.
• If using a wired connection, ensure the cable is fully inserted into both the headphones and the audio source.
