The sygonix SY-4737738 Key Box is designed for secure storage of up to 20 keys. It features a robust construction and a 3-digit combination lock for access control.

5. Setup

5.1 Mounting the Key Box

The key box is designed for wall mounting. Follow these steps for secure installation:

  1. Choose a suitable location on a solid wall.
  2. Using the key box as a template, mark the positions for the mounting holes on the wall.
  3. Drill holes at the marked positions using an appropriate drill bit for your wall type.
  4. Insert the provided wall plugs into the drilled holes.
  5. Align the key box with the holes and secure it to the wall using the provided screws. Ensure it is firmly attached.

5.2 Initial Combination Setting

The key box comes with a factory default combination, typically 0-0-0. To open the box for the first time:

  1. Ensure all three dials are set to 0.
  2. Turn the knob clockwise to unlock and open the door.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Opening the Key Box

  1. Rotate the three dials to your current combination.
  2. Turn the knob clockwise to release the latch.
  3. Open the door of the key box.

6.2 Changing the Combination

You can set a new personal 3-digit combination. Follow these steps carefully:

  1. Open the key box door using the current combination.
  2. Locate the reset lever or button on the inside edge of the lock mechanism (refer to Figure 4.2 for general location).
  3. While the door is open, push the reset lever from position A to B (or press the reset button).
  4. Set your desired new 3-digit combination by rotating the dials.
  5. Return the reset lever from position B to A (or release the reset button).
  6. Important: Before closing the door, test the new combination several times with the door open to ensure it works correctly.
  7. Scramble the dials and close the door. Your new combination is now set.

Note: It is highly recommended to write down your new combination and store it in a secure location, separate from the key box.

6.3 Using Key Rings

The provided colored key rings help organize your keys. Attach one key to each ring and hang them on the hooks inside the key box. The different colors can be used for categorization.

The sygonix Key Box requires minimal maintenance.

If you have forgotten your combination, there is no master key or override code. The only way to regain access is to try all possible combinations (000 to 999). This process can be time-consuming. It is crucial to record your combination in a secure, separate location.
