Main Display Unit

The central unit displays all collected data, including indoor and outdoor temperature/humidity, rainfall, time, date, and weather forecasts. It features a large LCD screen for easy readability and control buttons for settings and data review.

Thermo-Hygro Sensor (30.3249.02)

This wireless sensor measures outdoor temperature and humidity. It transmits data to the main unit via 433 MHz frequency. It can be placed up to 100 meters away from the main unit in an open area. Up to three such sensors can be connected (additional sensors sold separately).

Rain Gauge (30.3233.01)

The wireless rain gauge collects and measures precipitation. It sends rainfall data to the main unit, which then displays current, hourly, daily, weekly, monthly, and total rainfall amounts. It should be placed in an open area away from obstructions.

Setup Guide

1. Battery Installation

  • Main Unit: Open the battery compartment on the back. Insert 4 x 1.5V AA batteries, observing the correct polarity (+/-). Close the compartment.
  • Thermo-Hygro Sensor: Open the battery compartment. Insert 2 x 1.5V AA batteries, observing the correct polarity. Close the compartment.
  • Rain Gauge: Open the battery compartment. Insert 1 x 1.5V AA battery, observing the correct polarity. Close the compartment.

Upon battery insertion, the main unit will power on and begin searching for the radio signal and external sensors. The sensors will automatically transmit their data.

2. Sensor Placement

  • Thermo-Hygro Sensor: Place the sensor outdoors in a shaded area, protected from direct sunlight and rain, to ensure accurate temperature and humidity readings. Ensure it is within 100 meters of the main unit and free from major obstructions.
  • Rain Gauge: Mount the rain gauge in an open, elevated area where it can collect rainfall without obstruction from trees, buildings, or other structures. Ensure it is level for accurate measurement.

3. Radio-Controlled Clock Synchronization

The main unit will automatically attempt to synchronize with the DCF radio time signal. This process may take several minutes or hours depending on your location and signal strength. Once synchronized, the time and date will be set automatically. You can manually adjust the timezone if needed.

Operating Instructions

Display Overview

The main display is divided into several sections:

  • Forecast: Weather symbols (sunny, partly cloudy, cloudy, rainy, stormy) indicate the predicted weather for the next 12-24 hours based on atmospheric pressure trends.
  • Time & Date: Displays the current time, date, and day of the week (available in 8 languages: German, English, French, Italian, Dutch, Spanish, Swedish, Czech).
  • Indoor Data: Shows current indoor temperature and humidity.
  • Outdoor Data (CH1): Displays current outdoor temperature and humidity from the primary thermo-hygro sensor. If multiple sensors are connected, you can switch between channels.
  • Rainfall Data: Shows current rainfall (last hour), 24-hour rainfall, 7-day rainfall, current month's total, current year's total, and total historical rainfall. A graphical representation of current rainfall is also shown.

Setting Alarms

The station allows you to set adjustable alarms for temperature, humidity, and rainfall. For example, you can set an alarm for freezing temperatures or excessively high humidity (mold risk).

  1. Press the "ALARM" button to cycle through alarm types (Temperature, Humidity, Rain).
  2. Use the "+" or "-" buttons to adjust the alarm threshold.
  3. Press "SET" or "ALARM" again to confirm and activate the alarm.

Viewing Historical Data

The station stores maximum and minimum values for temperature and humidity, along with the time and date of their occurrence. Rainfall history is also available monthly.

  • Press the "MAX/MIN" button to view recorded maximum and minimum values.
  • Use the "+" or "-" buttons to navigate through different historical periods for rainfall data.

Maintenance

  • Battery Replacement: Replace batteries in all units when the low battery indicator appears on the display. Always replace all batteries in a unit at the same time.
  • Cleaning:
    • Wipe the main unit and sensors with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
    • Regularly check and clean the rain gauge funnel to ensure it is free from leaves, debris, or insects that could obstruct water flow and affect accuracy.
  • Storage: If storing the device for an extended period, remove all batteries to prevent leakage.

Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
