4. Setup and First Use

4.1 Initial Cleaning

Before first use, wash all parts of the pressure cooker set (pot, lids, and insert) with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely.

4.2 Preparing for Cooking

Always ensure there is sufficient liquid in the pot. Be aware of the "min" mark and always use at least the minimum amount of liquid required for pressure cooking. The contents must not exceed the "max" line to ensure safe operation.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Closing the Lid

To close the lid, align the metal tab marked "CLOSE" on the lid with the groove in the pot handle. Turn the lid to the left until it clicks into place. The locking indicator on the handle will switch from red to green, confirming a proper and secure seal.

5.2 Heating and Pressure Build-up

Place the pressure cooker on the stovetop and heat it on the highest energy level. Steam (oxygen) will escape from under the lid handle for a few minutes. This is normal. Once the steam release stops, pressure begins to build inside the pot.

5.6 Releasing Pressure and Opening the Lid

After cooking time, release the steam. There are different options to do so:

Fissler pressure cookers only open when there is no more pressure inside the pot. Once the pressure indicator has fully lowered, press the button on the handle and turn the lid to the right to open.
