1. Introduction

The Desview T3 Portable Teleprompter is designed to assist users in video recording with DSLR/mirrorless cameras and smartphones, ensuring smooth and confident delivery of scripts. It features a high-definition beam splitter glass, wide compatibility with various devices and lens sizes, and convenient remote control operation.

3. Setup

3.1. Teleprompter Assembly

Follow the visual guide to assemble the main teleprompter body. Ensure all parts are securely fastened.

3.2. Attaching to Camera Lens

Select the appropriate lens adapter ring (49/52/55/58/62/67/72/77/82mm) for your DSLR or mirrorless camera lens. Screw the adapter ring onto your camera lens, then slide the teleprompter onto the adapter ring. Use the provided foam shading rings to prevent unwanted light from entering the lens.

3.3. Mounting Smartphone/Tablet

The teleprompter supports tablets up to 10 inches (short side ≤ 170mm) and smartphones. Use the provided smartphone clamp or prompting clamp to secure your device onto the teleprompter's base. Ensure the device is positioned correctly for optimal reflection on the beam splitter glass.

3.4. Cold Shoe Mounts

The teleprompter features two cold shoe mounts on top, allowing for the attachment of accessories such as LED lights or microphones.

3.5. Tripod Mounting

The teleprompter can be mounted onto a tripod. Note that a rail system may be required for certain camera setups to ensure stability and proper alignment. The teleprompter itself does not include a tripod or a rail system.

4. Operating

4.1. DESVIEW App Usage

Download the free DESVIEW app from your device's app store (compatible with Android & iOS). Input your script into the app. The app allows you to adjust font size, color, background, and mirror mode for optimal viewing on the teleprompter glass.

4.2. Bluetooth Remote Control

Pair the included Bluetooth remote control with your smartphone or tablet. The remote allows you to Play/Pause the script, and adjust the scrolling speed (Slow down/Speed up) in real-time, enabling seamless script delivery without interrupting your recording.

4.3. Reading Distance and Angle

The Desview T3 offers a 10-foot reading distance with a clear text display. It supports wider angle shooting, specifically more than 24mm horizontal shooting and less than 35mm vertical shooting, minimizing vignetting.

5. Maintenance

5.1. Cleaning the Beam Splitter Glass

The 70/30 beam splitter glass features 26 coated layers and 7H hardness. To clean, gently wipe with the provided microfiber cloth. Avoid abrasive materials or harsh chemicals that could damage the coating.

5.2. Storage

When not in use, close the lid of the teleprompter to protect the glass from dust and scratches. Store the unit in its original packaging or a protective bag to ensure longevity.

6. Troubleshooting

6.1. App and Remote Control Issues

If the DESVIEW app or Bluetooth remote control is not functioning as expected (e.g., remote not connecting, app settings resetting), ensure the remote has fresh batteries and is properly paired. Check for app updates in your device's app store. If issues persist, try reinstalling the app or contacting Desview support.

6.2. Text Clarity and Light Leakage

For optimal text clarity, ensure your smartphone/tablet screen brightness is set appropriately. If experiencing light leakage around the camera lens, verify that the correct lens adapter ring is used and that the foam shading rings are properly installed to block any gaps.
