5. Setup and Installation
5.1 Preparation
- Clean the Surface: Ensure the installation surface is clean, dry, and free of dust or grease. This will ensure optimal adhesion of the LED strips.
- Plan Your Layout: Before peeling off the adhesive, plan the desired arrangement of your LED strips and connectors. Consider the length of the strips and the various connector types (straight, 90-degree, cross, U-shape) to achieve your desired lighting design.

5.2 Attaching LED Strips
- Peel and Stick: Carefully peel off the protective backing from the adhesive tape on the back of each LED strip.
- Position and Press: Firmly press the LED strip onto the prepared surface, ensuring good contact along the entire length.
5.3 Connecting LED Strips
The kit includes various connectors to create custom lighting configurations:
- Straight Connectors: Use these to extend the length of your LED strips in a straight line. The kit includes 6.7-inch and 20-inch options to bridge gaps.
- 90-Degree Connectors: Ideal for turning corners in cabinets or shelves.
- Cross Connectors: Allows for branching the LED strips in multiple directions, useful for creating unique patterns or lighting multiple sections from a central point.
- "U" Style Connector: Provides flexibility for specific corner or edge applications.
To connect, align the pins of the connector with the contact points on the LED strip and gently press them together. Ensure a secure connection for proper electrical contact.

The LED strips can be cut at designated marks (typically every 3 LEDs) if a shorter length is required. Always cut only at these marked points to avoid damaging the strip.

6. Operating Instructions
Once the LED light kit is fully installed and connected to power, you can operate it using the inline switch on the power cable.
- Power On/Off: Press the button on the inline switch to turn the lights on or off.
- Brightness Adjustment: The inline switch may also feature touch controls for adjusting brightness levels. Refer to the specific switch design for detailed operation.
7. Maintenance
- Cleaning: To clean the LED strips, ensure the power is disconnected. Gently wipe the strips with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Adhesive Longevity: Over time, the adhesive tape may lose its stickiness, especially in areas with temperature fluctuations or high humidity. If strips begin to detach, clean the surface and reapply with new double-sided adhesive tape suitable for the application.
- Component Check: Periodically inspect all connections and cables for any signs of wear or damage.
