5. Setup and Installation

5.1 Preparation

  1. Clean the Surface: Ensure the installation surface is clean, dry, and free of dust or grease. This will ensure optimal adhesion of the LED strips.
  2. Plan Your Layout: Before peeling off the adhesive, plan the desired arrangement of your LED strips and connectors. Consider the length of the strips and the various connector types (straight, 90-degree, cross, U-shape) to achieve your desired lighting design.

5.2 Attaching LED Strips

  1. Peel and Stick: Carefully peel off the protective backing from the adhesive tape on the back of each LED strip.
  2. Position and Press: Firmly press the LED strip onto the prepared surface, ensuring good contact along the entire length.

5.3 Connecting LED Strips

The kit includes various connectors to create custom lighting configurations:

To connect, align the pins of the connector with the contact points on the LED strip and gently press them together. Ensure a secure connection for proper electrical contact.

The LED strips can be cut at designated marks (typically every 3 LEDs) if a shorter length is required. Always cut only at these marked points to avoid damaging the strip.

5.4 Power Connection

  1. Connect the power adapter to the end of your assembled LED strip configuration.
  2. Plug the power adapter into a standard electrical outlet.
  3. Use the included cable holders to secure the power cable and prevent it from falling or being accidentally disconnected.
