4. Product Overview
The Rakstore DC-DC Buck Converter features an integrated LCD display and control buttons for easy operation. The input and output terminals are clearly marked for straightforward connection.

Figure 1: Front view of the converter module with display and controls.
The front panel includes an LCD screen, 'SW' (Switch Display), 'U/I' (Voltage/Current Toggle), 'CC' (Constant Current indicator), 'ON/OFF' (Output Enable/Disable), and a rotary encoder with an integrated 'ON/OFF' button for setting parameters.

Figure 2: Rear view of the converter module showing internal components and terminal block.
The rear side reveals the circuit board with power components, including capacitors, inductors, and heatsinks, designed for efficient power conversion. The blue terminal block provides connections for input (IN+, IN-) and output (OUT+, OUT-).

Figure 3: Dimensions of the DC-DC Buck Converter module.
The module has approximate dimensions of 78.9mm (length) x 42.9mm (width) x 41.7mm (height), making it compact for various applications.
5. Setup and Connection
- Prepare Power Source: Ensure your input power source (e.g., battery, power adapter) is stable and within the 6-55V DC range.
- Connect Input: Connect the positive (+) terminal of your input power source to the "IN+" terminal on the blue terminal block. Connect the negative (-) terminal of your input power source to the "IN-" terminal. Ensure connections are secure.
- Connect Load: Connect the positive (+) terminal of your load device to the "OUT+" terminal on the blue terminal block. Connect the negative (-) terminal of your load device to the "OUT-" terminal.
- Verify Connections: Double-check all connections for correct polarity and tightness to prevent damage.
- Apply Power: Once all connections are verified, apply power to the input terminals. The LCD display should illuminate.
Caution: Incorrect polarity or exceeding voltage/current limits can damage the module and connected devices.
6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Display Functions
- LCD Display: Shows real-time input voltage, output voltage, output current, output power, output capacity (Ah), and output time.
- SW Button: Press to cycle through different display parameters (e.g., input voltage, output voltage, current, power, capacity, time).
- U/I Button: Press to toggle between displaying voltage and current on the main screen.
- CC Indicator: Illuminates when the module is operating in constant current mode.
6.2 Adjusting Output Voltage and Current
- Enable Output: Press the 'ON/OFF' button (the rotary encoder itself) to enable or disable the output. When enabled, the 'ON' indicator will light up.
- Set Output Voltage:
- With the output disabled, rotate the encoder to adjust the desired output voltage. The voltage value will flash on the display.
- Press the encoder button briefly to confirm the voltage setting.
- Set Output Current Limit:
- With the output disabled, press and hold the encoder button until the current value starts flashing.
- Rotate the encoder to adjust the desired maximum output current. This sets the constant current (CC) limit.
- Press the encoder button briefly to confirm the current setting.
- Start Operation: Once voltage and current limits are set, press the 'ON/OFF' button to enable the output. The module will now regulate the output according to your settings.
6.3 Advanced Settings (Long Press Functions)
- Long Press SW: Enters or exits the parameter setting menu (e.g., backlight brightness, default output state). Refer to specific product documentation for detailed menu options.
- Long Press U/I: Clears accumulated capacity (Ah) and time data.
7. Maintenance
- Keep the module clean and free from dust. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning.
- Ensure proper ventilation around the module to prevent overheating.
- Regularly check all connections for tightness and signs of wear.
- Do not attempt to disassemble or modify the module, as this will void any warranty and may cause damage.
8. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No display/No power | No input power; incorrect input polarity; input voltage too low/high. | Check input power source; verify input wiring polarity; ensure input voltage is 6-55V. |
| Output voltage unstable/incorrect | Loose connections; incorrect settings; overloaded output. | Check output wiring; re-adjust output voltage setting; reduce load or ensure load is within 250W. |
| Output current too low/high | Incorrect current limit setting; load impedance mismatch. | Adjust the output current limit; ensure the load is appropriate for the set current. |
| Module overheating | Insufficient ventilation; excessive load. | Ensure adequate airflow around the module; reduce the output load if operating near maximum capacity. |
