5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Powering On/Off
The tool is activated by pressing the variable speed trigger. The further the trigger is pressed, the faster the drill operates. Release the trigger to turn the tool off.
5.2 Speed and Torque Adjustment
- Speed Selector: Use the speed selector switch (typically located on top of the drill) to choose between two speed settings: low speed for high torque applications (e.g., driving screws) and high speed for faster drilling.
- Torque Collar: Rotate the torque adjustment collar (located behind the chuck) to select the desired torque setting. This prevents over-driving screws and stripping screw heads. For drilling, set the collar to the drill icon for maximum torque.
5.3 Forward/Reverse Rotation
The forward/reverse selector switch (located above the trigger) controls the direction of rotation. Push it to the left for forward (clockwise) rotation for drilling and driving, and to the right for reverse (counter-clockwise) rotation for removing screws or freeing stuck bits.
5.4 Drilling into Wood, Metal, and Plastic
- Select the appropriate drill bit for the material.
- Set the torque collar to the drill icon.
- Apply steady, even pressure. Do not force the drill.
- For metal, use a cutting lubricant and start with a pilot hole for larger diameters.

6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your tool.
- Cleaning: Keep the tool's ventilation openings clear and free of debris. Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the exterior. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Storage: Store the tool and battery pack in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Ensure the battery is removed from the tool before storage.
- Battery Care: Do not store battery packs in a discharged state. Recharge them regularly, even if not in use, to maintain battery health.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your drill, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
- Tool Not Starting: Ensure the battery pack is fully charged and securely inserted. Check if the forward/reverse selector is in the neutral (locked) position.
- Bit Stuck in Material: Engage the reverse rotation function and gently pull the drill out. Do not force it.
- Overheating: Allow the tool to cool down. Ensure ventilation slots are not blocked. Avoid continuous heavy-duty use without breaks. The tool features reliable heat and overload protection.
- Reduced Performance: Check battery charge. Ensure the correct speed and torque settings are selected for the task.
