4. Setup

4.1 First Use

1. Unpack all components and remove any packaging materials.
2. Clean the glass carafe, lid, and removable filter holder with warm soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
3. Fill the water tank with fresh, cold water up to the maximum level.
4. Place an empty filter bag (size 1x4) into the filter holder.
5. Run the machine with water only (without coffee) to clean the internal components. Repeat this process once or twice.

4.2 Preparing for Brewing

1. Ensure the machine is unplugged.
2. Fill the water tank with the desired amount of fresh, cold water. The transparent tank has a scale for easy measurement.
3. Swing out the removable filter holder.
4. Insert a Melitta 1x4 filter bag into the filter holder.
5. Add the desired amount of ground coffee into the filter bag. A general guideline is one level scoop (approx. 6-7g) per cup.
6. Swing the filter holder back into place until it clicks.
7. Place the glass carafe with its lid on the warming plate.

5. Operation

5.1 Brewing Coffee

1. After preparing the machine (Section 4.2), plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet.
2. Press the illuminated On/Off switch to start the brewing process. The light will indicate that the machine is operating.
3. Coffee will begin to drip into the glass carafe.
4. Once brewing is complete, the machine will automatically switch to the warming function. The warming plate will keep the coffee hot for a period before automatically shutting off.
5. To turn off the machine manually, press the On/Off switch again.

5.2 Using the AromaSelector

The AromaSelector allows you to customize your coffee's strength from mild to intense. Simply turn the dial on the top of the machine to your preferred setting before starting the brewing process.

The integrated timer allows you to program the machine to start brewing at a specific time.

1. Set the current time using the 'h' (hour) and 'm' (minute) buttons on the control panel.

6.1 Daily Cleaning

1. Always unplug the appliance and allow it to cool down before cleaning.

3. The filter insert, glass carafe, and its lid are dishwasher safe. Alternatively, wash them by hand with warm soapy water and rinse thoroughly.
4. Wipe the exterior of the coffee machine with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaning agents.
5. The water tank can be easily cleaned by hand.

6.2 Descaling

Over time, mineral deposits (limescale) can build up in your coffee machine, affecting performance and taste. Descale your machine regularly, depending on water hardness and frequency of use.
