1. Important Safety Instructions

Please read all instructions carefully before using the TOPWIT Electric Kettle. Retain this manual for future reference.

  • Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
  • To protect against electrical hazards, do not immerse the kettle, power base, cord, or plug in water or other liquids.
  • Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
  • Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the appliance.
  • Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner. Contact customer support for assistance.
  • The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may result in fire, electric shock, or injury to persons.
  • Do not use outdoors.
  • Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
  • Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
  • Always attach the plug to the appliance first, then plug the cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn any control to "off", then remove the plug from the wall outlet.
  • Do not use the appliance for other than intended use.
  • Always ensure the lid is securely closed during operation.
  • This kettle is equipped with an automatic shut-off feature and boil-dry protection. Do not attempt to override these safety mechanisms.
  • The kettle is designed for boiling water only. Do not fill with other liquids.
  • Ensure the kettle is placed on a firm, flat, heat-resistant surface.

3. Setup and First Use

3.1 Unpacking:

  1. Carefully remove all packaging materials from the kettle and its components.
  2. Ensure all parts are present: kettle body, lid, infuser, and power base.
  3. Inspect the kettle for any signs of damage. Do not use if damaged.

3.2 Initial Cleaning:

Before first use, it is recommended to clean the kettle to remove any manufacturing residues.

  1. Fill the kettle with clean water up to the MAX line.
  2. Boil the water (refer to Section 4: Operating Instructions).
  3. Discard the boiled water.
  4. Repeat this process 2-3 times.
  5. Wipe the exterior of the kettle with a damp cloth.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Boiling Water:

  1. Ensure the kettle is unplugged from the power outlet.
  2. Open the lid and fill the kettle with fresh water. Do not fill below the MIN mark or above the MAX mark indicated on the water window.
  3. Close the lid securely.
  4. Place the kettle firmly on the power base.
  5. Plug the power cord into a standard electrical outlet.
  6. Press the power switch located on the handle to the "ON" position. The indicator light will illuminate.
  7. The kettle will begin to heat the water. Once the water boils, the kettle will automatically shut off, and the indicator light will extinguish.
  8. Carefully lift the kettle from the base and pour the hot water.

4.2 Using the Tea Infuser:

The removable stainless steel infuser allows you to brew your favorite loose leaf tea directly in the kettle.

  1. Remove the lid and the infuser from the kettle.
  2. Add your desired amount of loose leaf tea or tea bags into the infuser.
  3. Place the infuser back into the kettle, ensuring it is properly seated.
  4. Fill the kettle with fresh water, ensuring the water level is appropriate for your tea and does not exceed the MAX line.
  5. Close the lid securely.
  6. Place the kettle on the power base and turn it on as described in Section 4.1.
  7. Once the water boils and the kettle shuts off, allow the tea to steep for the desired duration.
  8. Carefully remove the infuser using its handle to prevent over-steeping.
  9. Pour and enjoy your freshly brewed tea.

5. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning and maintenance will prolong the life of your TOPWIT Electric Kettle.

5.1 Daily Cleaning:

  1. Always unplug the kettle and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. Remove the infuser and rinse it under running water. Use a soft brush if necessary to remove tea residues.
  3. The wide opening of the kettle allows for easy access to the interior. Wipe the inside with a soft, damp cloth.
  4. Wipe the exterior of the kettle with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
  5. Never immerse the power base, cord, or plug in water.

5.2 Descaling (Removing Limescale):

Over time, mineral deposits (limescale) may build up inside the kettle, especially in hard water areas. This can affect performance and taste. Descale regularly.

  1. Fill the kettle with a mixture of 1 part white vinegar and 2 parts water.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil.
  3. Allow the solution to soak in the kettle for at least 30 minutes, or longer for heavy deposits.
  4. Discard the solution and rinse the kettle thoroughly with fresh water several times.
  5. If necessary, boil fresh water in the kettle and discard it to remove any residual vinegar smell or taste.
  6. Alternatively, commercial descaling solutions designed for kettles can be used following their specific instructions.

6. Troubleshooting
