2. Safety Information

  • Proper Fit: Ensure the helmet fits snugly and comfortably. It should not move freely on your head.

3. Setup and Fitting

3.1 Measuring Head Circumference

To ensure the correct helmet size, measure your head circumference. Use a tape measure to wrap around your head, approximately 1.5 cm (0.6 inches) above your eyebrows and ears. Compare this measurement to the sizing chart below.

3.2 Adjusting the Fit System

The helmet features an adjustable dial at the back to customize the fit. Turn the dial clockwise to tighten and counter-clockwise to loosen until the helmet feels snug without being uncomfortably tight. The helmet should sit level on your head, covering your forehead, and should not rock side-to-side or front-to-back.

3.3 Chin Strap Adjustment

Adjust the chin strap so that it forms a "V" shape under your ears. The buckle should be centered under your chin. Tighten the strap so that only one or two fingers can fit between the strap and your chin. The quick-release safety buckle ensures easy fastening and removal.

3.4 Attaching/Detaching the Visor

The helmet comes with a detachable tinted visor. To attach, align the visor's clips with the corresponding slots on the helmet and press firmly until it clicks into place. To detach, gently pull the visor away from the helmet. The visor can be retracted or extended as needed during your ride.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 LED Lighting System

The ILM E3-10L helmet features integrated front (white) and rear (red) LED lights for enhanced visibility, especially in low-light conditions. The lights are rechargeable via USB.

Changing Light Modes:

Press the power button located on the rear LED light to cycle through the following modes:

  1. Mode 1: Front White Light ON / Back Red Light ON (Steady)
  2. Mode 2: Front White Light ON / Back Red Light Slow Flash
  3. Mode 3: Front White Light Slow Flash / Back Red Light Flash
  4. Mode 4: Front & Back Red Light Flashing

Press and hold the button to turn the lights off.

4.2 Charging the LED Lights

The helmet's LED lights are powered by a rechargeable Lithium-ion battery. Locate the USB charging port (usually near the rear LED light). Connect the helmet to a standard USB power source (e.g., computer, wall adapter) using the provided USB cable. An indicator light will show charging status (e.g., red for charging, green for fully charged). Charging time may vary.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning the Helmet

To clean the exterior of your helmet, use a soft cloth dampened with mild soap and water. Avoid abrasive cleaners, solvents, or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the helmet's shell and internal components. Rinse with clean water and air dry.

5.2 Removable and Washable Interior Lining

The helmet features a removable and washable interior mesh lining and chin pads to keep you dry and comfortable. Gently detach the lining and pads from the helmet. Hand wash them with mild soap and water, then air dry completely before reattaching them to the helmet.

5.3 Storage

Store your helmet in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Do not store it near heat sources or chemicals.
