Parts Identification

Setup
1. Battery Installation
The remote control is powered by one CR2032 battery. If the battery is not pre-installed, or needs replacement:
- Locate the battery compartment on the back of the remote.
- Use a coin or small tool to twist the battery cover counter-clockwise to open.
- Insert the CR2032 battery with the positive (+) side facing up.
- Replace the battery cover and twist clockwise to secure it.
2. Pairing with Your Camera
To use the remote control, it must first be paired with your compatible Nikon camera. Refer to your camera's instruction manual for specific Bluetooth pairing steps, as these may vary by model. General steps are as follows:
- Ensure your camera's Bluetooth function is enabled.
- On the remote control, slide the Power/Pairing button to the 'ON' position.
- Press and hold the Power/Pairing button until the indicator lamp on the remote starts blinking, indicating it is in pairing mode.
- On your camera, navigate to the Bluetooth settings and select to add a new device. The remote control should appear in the list of discoverable devices.
- Select the remote control from the camera's list to complete the pairing process. The indicator lamp on the remote will stop blinking and remain solid for a few seconds, confirming successful pairing.
Note: For Nikon Z6II and Z7II cameras, ensure their firmware is updated to version 1.40 or later for full compatibility.
Operating Instructions
Once paired, the remote control can be used to operate your camera wirelessly from a distance of approximately 10 meters (32.8 feet) in any direction.

Basic Functions:
- Still Image Shooting: Press the Shutter Release Button to capture a still photograph.
- Video Recording: Press the Video Recording Button to start recording. Press it again to stop recording.
Advanced Functions (Camera Dependent):
- Zoom Control: Use the '+' and '-' buttons to zoom in and out. This function is available on cameras that support remote zoom control.
- Manual Focus Adjustment: Use the Multi Selector buttons (up, down, left, right) to adjust manual focus.
- Selecting Items/Applications: The Multi Selector and OK button can be used to navigate menus or select items/applications on compatible cameras.
- Fn1 and Fn2 Buttons: These customizable function buttons can be assigned specific camera functions (e.g., ISO, white balance) via your camera's settings. These buttons are compatible with Nikon Z50 and COOLPIX P950 cameras only.

Maintenance
- Clean the remote control with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents.
- If the remote will not be used for an extended period, remove the battery to prevent leakage.
- Store the remote in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
Troubleshooting
