  • Roaster Unit: The main body containing the heating element and motor.
  • Lid: Covers the roasting chamber, often with a viewing window.
  • Chaff Collector: A removable sieve designed to collect the husks (chaff) separated from the coffee beans during roasting.
  • Control Buttons: Buttons for selecting roasting levels (Dark, Medium) and initiating the Cooldown cycle.

4. Setup

Before first use, follow these steps:

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove all packaging materials and ensure all components are present and undamaged.
  2. Clean: Wipe down the exterior of the roaster unit with a damp cloth. Wash the chaff collector and lid with warm, soapy water, then rinse and dry thoroughly.
  3. Placement: Place the roaster on a stable, heat-resistant, and level surface. Ensure there is adequate ventilation around the unit, away from walls or cabinets, to allow heat and smoke to dissipate.
  4. Power Connection: Ensure the voltage of your power outlet matches the appliance's requirements (220 Volts). Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet.

5. Operating Instructions

The BEEM ROAST-PERFECT offers simple and easy roasting of raw coffee beans. It is ideal for beginners and those who wish to experiment with different aromas.

5.1. Loading Green Coffee Beans

  1. Ensure the roaster is clean and assembled correctly with the chaff collector and lid in place.
  2. Open the lid and carefully pour up to 200 grams of green coffee beans into the roasting chamber. Do not overfill.

5.2. Roasting Process

  1. Select your desired roasting level by pressing either the MED (Medium) or DARK button. The temperature will slowly increase over 25-30 minutes in several stages, up to a maximum of 200 °C.
  2. During the roasting phase, the chaff (husks) is automatically separated from the coffee beans and reliably transported directly into the chaff collector. This eliminates the need for tedious sorting after the roasting process.
  3. Observe the roasting process through the lid (if applicable) and listen for the 'first crack' and 'second crack' sounds, which indicate different stages of roast development.

5.3. Cooldown Cycle

After the roasting cycle is complete, the roaster will automatically enter the Cooldown mode. This mode gently cools the beans, which is crucial for stopping the roasting process and preserving the unique flavor profile. Do not remove the beans until the cooldown cycle is finished.

For an immediate start into the roasting adventure, a 200g pack of high-quality green Brasil coffee beans (100% Arabica beans) is included with your roaster.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and longevity of your coffee roaster.

  1. Unplug: Always unplug the appliance from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. Empty Chaff Collector: The chaff collector is designed for easy removal and emptying. After each roasting session, remove the chaff collector and discard the collected husks.
  3. Clean Chaff Sieve: After several roasting processes, the fine sieves in the lid should be blown out or rinsed with water to remove any accumulated fine particles of chaff. Ensure it is completely dry before reassembling.
  4. Wipe Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the roaster unit with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scourers.
  5. Do Not Immerse: Never immerse the main roaster unit in water or any other liquid.
