Thank you for choosing the LoraTap WiFi Curtain Switch. This device allows you to control your motorized roller blinds, curtains, or shutters via touch, a smartphone application, or voice commands through Amazon Alexa and Google Home. Please read this manual carefully before installation and use to ensure proper operation and safety.

2. Safety Information

  • Ensure the power supply is disconnected before installation or maintenance.
  • Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician or a person with electrical knowledge.
  • This switch is designed for 4-wire AC motorized blinds/shutters only. Do not connect to other motor types.
  • Do not exceed the maximum load of 600W.
  • Keep the device away from water and high humidity environments.
  • The tempered glass panel ensures safe operation even with wet hands, but always exercise caution.

4. Setup

4.1 Wiring Diagram

Ensure your motor has 4 wires as this switch is only compatible with 4-wire motors. A neutral wire is required. The ground wire (yellow-green) is not necessary for the switch's operation.

4.2 Wi-Fi Network Compatibility

The LoraTap WiFi Curtain Switch only supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi networks. It is not compatible with 5GHz Wi-Fi or consolidated dual-band 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks. Ensure your router is configured to provide a 2.4GHz signal.

4.3 App Installation and Device Pairing

5.5 Motor Run Time Setting

Adjust the motor's running time (from 1 to 120 seconds) in the app to match the full travel duration of your blinds/shutters. This ensures precise opening and closing.

5.6 Device Sharing

7. Troubleshooting

  • Device not connecting to Wi-Fi:

    • Restart your router and try pairing again.
  • Voice control not working:

    • Note that some voice assistants may not support percentage-based opening/closing directly.
  • Blinds/shutters not moving:
    • Check all wiring connections are secure and correct according to the diagram.
    • Verify the motor is a 4-wire AC type and functioning correctly.
    • Ensure the power supply to the switch is active.
  • Device loses connection after power outage:
    • The device is designed to automatically reconnect to Wi-Fi once power is restored. If it doesn't, check your router's status.
    • In rare cases, a full re-pairing might be necessary if the device's configuration is lost.
