2. Setup Instructions
2.1 Battery Installation
- Locate the battery compartment on the back of the remote control.
- Open the battery compartment cover.
- Insert two (2) new AAA alkaline batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+ and -) as indicated inside the compartment.
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
Important Note: For optimal performance and to ensure the LCD screen functions correctly, please use BRAND NEW AAA alkaline batteries. Rechargeable batteries are not recommended.

3. Operating Instructions
This remote control is designed for immediate use with compatible Vizio Sound Bar Speaker Systems without requiring any programming or pairing. Point the remote directly at your sound bar's infrared receiver.
3.1 Basic Functions
- Power Button (⏻): Press to turn the sound bar on or off.
- Input Button (⎜): Press to cycle through available audio input sources (e.g., Bluetooth, Optical, AUX).
- Menu Button: Access the sound bar's menu for advanced settings. Use the directional arrows to navigate.
- Volume Up/Down (+/-): Adjust the main volume level of the sound bar.
- Mute Button (🔇): Mute or unmute the sound.
3.2 Playback Controls
When using Bluetooth or other media playback modes, the following buttons control media playback:

5. Maintenance

- Storage: Store the remote in a dry place, away from extreme temperatures and direct sunlight.
6. Troubleshooting
- Remote not responding:
- Ensure batteries are inserted correctly with the correct polarity.
- Replace old batteries with new AAA alkaline batteries.
- Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the sound bar's infrared receiver.
- Confirm the remote is pointed directly at the sound bar.
- LCD screen is dim or not visible:
- This is a known characteristic of some Vizio sound bar remotes. Ensure you are using brand new alkaline batteries, as low battery power can exacerbate this.
- Remote functions are incorrect:
- Verify your Vizio sound bar model is listed in the compatibility section.
- No programming is required for this remote; if issues persist, contact customer support.
