3. Setup

3.1 Battery Installation

The WOSODA G300-12 Trail Camera is powered by 8 AA batteries (not included). For optimal performance and battery life, it is recommended to use high-quality alkaline or rechargeable AA batteries.

  1. Open the camera's battery compartment.
  2. Insert 8 AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
  3. Close the battery compartment securely to maintain the camera's waterproof seal.

3.2 SD Card Installation

A Micro SD card (up to 32GB capacity, not included) is required to store photos and videos.

  1. Locate the SD card slot on the side of the camera.
  2. Insert the Micro SD card with the metal contacts facing the back of the camera until it clicks into place.
  3. To remove, push the card in until it clicks, then release. The card will eject slightly.
  4. It is recommended to format the SD card using the camera's menu before first use.

3.3 Mounting the Camera

The camera can be mounted using the included nylon strap or wall mount.

  • Strap Mounting: Thread the nylon strap through the slots on the back of the camera and secure it around a tree or pole.
  • Wall Mounting: Use the provided wall mount and screws to attach the camera to a flat surface. Adjust the mount to achieve the desired camera angle.

3.4 Initial Power On

After installing batteries and an SD card, switch the camera to the 'TEST' mode to access the menu and configure settings.

4. Operation

4.1 Power Modes

  • OFF: Powers off the camera.
  • TEST: Allows access to the camera's menu, live view, and manual photo/video capture. Use this mode for setup and configuration.
  • ON: Activates the camera for automatic motion-triggered recording. The LCD screen will turn off after a few seconds to conserve power.

4.2 Menu Navigation

In 'TEST' mode, use the navigation buttons to browse the menu options displayed on the 2.0-inch color LCD screen. The 'OK' button confirms selections.

  • Mode: Select Photo, Video, or Photo + Video.
  • Photo Resolution: Up to 36MP for still images.
