6. Maintenance
6.1. Cleaning the Acrylic Door
To clean the clear acrylic door, use a soft, lint-free cloth and a mild, non-abrasive cleaner specifically designed for acrylic or plastic. Avoid using ammonia-based cleaners, paper towels, or abrasive materials, as these can scratch the surface.
6.2. Cleaning the Wooden Frame
Wipe the wooden frame with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn marks, a slightly damp cloth with mild soap can be used, followed immediately by drying with a clean, dry cloth. Avoid excessive moisture.
6.3. Dust Protection
The sealed design of the display case helps protect your shoes from dust and potential UV damage, preserving their condition over time.
7. Troubleshooting
7.1. Case Feels Loose After Mounting
Ensure that the wall anchors and screws are appropriate for your wall type and are securely installed. Re-check the engagement of the sawtooth hanger with the screws. If necessary, consult a professional for secure installation.
7.2. Acrylic Door Appears Cloudy or Scratched
Ensure all protective films have been removed from both sides of the acrylic door. If scratches are present, they may be permanent. For cloudiness, clean with an approved acrylic cleaner and a soft cloth.
7.3. Lock Mechanism Not Functioning Smoothly
Ensure the key is fully inserted and turned correctly. Do not force the key. If the mechanism is stiff, a small amount of graphite lubricant can be applied to the keyhole.
