4. Setup
- Unpacking: Carefully remove all packaging materials. Ensure all components are present: coffee machine, glass milk container, descaling tablets, cleaning tablets, and operating instructions.
- Placement: Place the machine on a stable, level, and heat-resistant surface. Ensure adequate ventilation around the appliance.
- Water Tank: Fill the 1.8 L water tank with fresh, cold water. The water tank is easily accessible.
- Bean Container: Open the bean container lid and fill with up to 10.6 oz of whole coffee beans. Close the lid securely.
- Power Connection: Connect the power supply lead (4.6 ft) to a suitable 220-240 V, 10 A outlet.
- Initial Start-up: Follow the on-screen instructions on the DirectSensor display for initial setup, including language selection and water hardness programming.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Preparing Coffee Specialties
- Place a cup or glass under the central spout. The height-adjustable central spout (3.1-5.5 in) can be adjusted to fit various cup sizes.
- Select your desired beverage (Espresso, Coffee, Cappuccino, Latte, etc.) from the DirectSensor display.
- For milk-based drinks, ensure the glass milk container is filled and connected to the milk pipework.
- Press the "Start" button. The machine will automatically grind the beans, brew the coffee, and froth milk if selected.
- Use the "OneTouch for Two" function to prepare two servings simultaneously.
- Adjust settings like coffee amount (20-300 ml), water temperature, milk froth, and pre-brew in Expert mode for personalized taste.
5.2. Using Connoisseur Profiles
The machine allows for 8 programmable connoisseur profiles to save your favorite drink settings. To save a profile:
- Prepare your desired drink with all custom settings (strength, volume, temperature, milk options).
- Access the profile menu and select an empty profile slot.
- Save your current settings to this profile. You can name it for easy identification.
