4. Maintenance

4.1 Cleaning

To clean the Ulanzi MT-41, wipe it with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by immediate drying. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the material.

4.2 Storage

When not in use, fold the MT-41 into its compact form (approximately 23 cm long). Store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. This will help preserve the integrity of the plastic, aluminum, and rubber components.

5. Troubleshooting

5.1 Device Not Stable on Tripod

  • Ensure the tripod legs are fully extended and locked into position.
  • Verify that the surface the tripod is placed on is flat and stable.
  • Check that your device (smartphone or camera) is securely mounted and tightened onto the 1/4-inch screw or within the phone holder.
  • Ensure the weight of your device does not exceed the maximum load capacity (2.2 lbs / 1 kg).

5.2 Difficulty Extending/Retracting the Stick

  • Check for any obstructions or debris in the telescopic sections.
  • Apply gentle, even pressure when extending or retracting. Avoid forcing the mechanism.
  • If the stick feels stiff, ensure it is clean and dry.

5.3 Phone Holder Not Gripping Securely

  • Confirm your smartphone's width is within the supported range of 5.8 cm to 8.5 cm.
  • Ensure the phone is centered in the holder and the spring-loaded clamp is fully engaged.
  • Remove any bulky phone cases that might prevent a secure grip.
